I know that's kind of weird in that it's not the typical procession of transitioning, but fuck it if you need those surgeries asap and you can't get surgery if you have no money and no insurance.

My own therapist wanted me to come out to everyone before starting hrt, and I did except not at my work because how tf am I ever going to afford a masectomy if I get fired for being trans and never hired because I am trans. I am also in a very conservative job right now where 90% of the workers are women where men are viewed kind of suspiciously. Why in the world would I make it harder for myself by coming out, having them fire me, then having to find another job, then when you finally get a job and save up for top surgery they fire you for the 4-6 week leave you need to recover because I'm completely replaceable and the scheduling manager already goes balistic if I ask for a weekend off a month in advance.

Guys I'd really appreciate your input on my situation.

While I'd love the ability to put on even more muscle I don't think I'd like to have an even deeper voice. I'm actually quite comfortable as a masculine female, as I've fallen into this naturally. I don't know if I should consider if I'm trans or not.

If you don't mind answering a few questions:

Did anyone ever peg you as trans before you ever considered it for yourself? What we're the benefits of transitioning? The negatives? How masculine were you before you transitioned? Did you hate having a vagina?

Well I can't say that I find my tits/vag aesthetically pleasing, but they are a part of me and I've learned to accept that. I don't feel comfortable or confident about them, and I don't like the idea of exposing others to them even having done so many times in past relationships. At the same time though I've accepted this as reality. I like having long thick hair and a giant ass, I also like having broad muscled shoulders and a deep clear voice. I don't want to give any of that up.

I guess I'm thinking about this because I don't fit into any lesbian circle I've tried to enter. They act so clickish and don't seem to want to accept me. In my experience it was easier to make beer but then again I only tried it once. You should try it. Beer only needs to reach half the alcohol content of wine and can handle some yeast taste without going too manky. It's hard to make top tier beer but easy to make adequate stuff, so even if your first batch isn't perfect it will be drinkable so you will be encouraged to try again. Good hobby to have, and when you get properly into it you can always sell the surplus beer for a bit of extra cash.

Bacardi is gross unless it's mixed imo. (Good) rum is my favourite liquor, but to start I'd recommend good beer. Hefeweizen (wheat beer) is my favourite genre, and it's an inoffensive type. Erdinger, Weihenstephaner, Franziskaner, Paulaner, etc. Those are all German and may be more widely available in Europe than in the US, though if you can find them you should try them. I also like stouts and porters, which are dark, heavy, and filling like a meal. Nitro milk stout might be a cool first beer to try, although it could be disappointingly mild mannered.

Old fashioned and manhattan works, but in essence the cocktail culture is adult candy. I prefer to use clean distilled alcohols or clean fermented liquids. If people are sensitive to alcoholic taste then a class of sherry, madeira or port works better than cocktails.... and wow I just sounded fedora. Sorry about that.

Never been much of a fan of whiskey though I enjoy it when offered. The fruitiest shit I enjoy would be dry cider.

Something that seems to be overlooked often is that many beers and wines reach their full potential when accompanied with food or snacks and might be easier to get accustomed to when imbibed as such. Like roasted almonds or blue cheese mushroom pasta with red wine, or a hearty meat stew with ale.

Nothing wrong with candy though. Had this variation of an irish coffee made with kahlua instead of vodka a while a go, and it was like drinking liquid cozyness.

You know that lingonberry jam is more than 50% sugar? It is used in savory dishes as a sweet contrast mostly. I have problems finding culinary uses of it other than sweeten it to oblivion first, and it annoys me. The infusion I make is very sour but keeps the flavour tones better than if making liqueur, in my opinion at least. You have any recipes using lingon unsweetened? I would greatly appreciate it.

I usually just buy cloudberry jam which is readily available, but raw berries show up in deep freezer sections of larger convenience stores. It's fairly expensive.

Yeah I haven't dismissed it or anything, I just haven't had much good whiskey. Rum and and especially cognac have been much more eappealing so far.

Yes! It's called "st peters cream stout", and is one of the more balanced and easily drinkable stouts I've encountered. I keep coming back to it.

I feel it would clash with rosemary but I like the idea. I'm thinking I'll steal your mushroom idea and use the combination in a squirrel stew. Treerat meat is sweet and rich, and could go well with tart lingon.Thanks m8.

Late reply. No, I don't like sweets but I don't like bitter either. I like my coffee sweet and my tea sweet, though I can down black coffee as well. I'm into sour foods most but I rarely eat sour stuff.

I think mushrooms, lingonberries and rosemary all work work exceptionally well with game meat like elk or boar. Easy on the rosemary though, so it doesn't dominate the dish too much.

Hard liquor takes a bit more time to appreciate, but it's great once you do.
