20 years old, look more like a boy than a man but depression did a number on me cos I barely washed in my teens.

Been using spot stuff on and off for ages, it never fully goes away. Been showering for years, my hair is still thin and "looks like a wig". I've cut it short because when it was long it was flat, unkempt and neet.

HRT is not for boys, i've been taking full doses for a long time and it just gives me doubts, sometimes I don't know if i really feel like a boy anymore. It's nothing intrinsic to my being, its just HRT effected how i feel and how i look so much it's starting to become a blurry line on what i feel like

Just be careful with drugs kids. HRT is nice but don't fall too deep.

Wash your bedding, sleep with a towel over pillow every night (or atleast a washed shirt). Look into dermarollers. Wash face a couple times a day with water. Exfoliate 2/3 times a week. Don't touch face, don't pick spots. As a last resort, talk to a doctor and get perscription.

Avocados have oils and nutrients that are good for hair. Use a high quality conditioner after shampooing (aka black people stuff). Instead of shampooing with shampoo (which contains sodium lauthalfate) try using Dr. Bronner's Castile soap instead.

Different anon - This is what works for me

Flip/change pillowcase every night
wash face every morning and night with sensitive skin cleanser + toner
Moisturize after cleansing with gentle moisturizer.
Exfoliate occasionally (i usually forget because my skin is pretty damn clear anyway, i just do it weekly or so)
Don't touch face yeah (harder than you think)
also even if you dont want prescription, a dermatologist would probably be able to recommend products and routines that would help
SUNSCREEN
WEAR SUNSCREEN EVERY TIME YOU GO OUTSIDE YOUR HOUSE JEEZ


and hair:

wash with shampoo every 2-3 days, mostly concentrate on massaging into scalp. Don't cheap out, buy nice shampoo

Buy nice conditioner, use whenever you shampoo, or use in place of shampoo and skip a shampoo day if your hair gets dry. mostly focus on working over the length of your hair, into the ends mostly. Leave it in for a couple minutes

Buy a leave-in conditioner, do that every now and then, not too often.

Use heat protection products if you blowdry/straighten/curl

I know you probably want longer hair eventually but at least get semi-regular trims to take the ends off, so it grows back thick and healthy with the new routine

Your mileage may vary, i'm on HRT so my shit might react differently. I never have any issues though.

just a simple spf 30 sunscreen desu, it'll help with complexion and getting rid of and preventing wrinkles.

I use Dual Action Johnson & Johnson Moisturizer, which would help with acne also, and some simple Nivea Daily Essentials Cleanser + Toner for the time being, since it was the first one i tried and it just worked fine for my skin.

Also if you fix the acne thing and you just don't like your complexion, there's always a little makeup :) Nothing noticeable, just like subtle BB cream, maybe some light concealer and stuff.

Whether that's on the extreme end or not I have no idea, but she looked good for what it's worth.

Regardless of bedsheets though I'd say it's a good idea to replace your pillow cases every day if you don't plan on sleeping on a clean towel. The basic idea is that you don't want to smother your face in a dirty sheet covered in your face's old dirt and oils for eight hours every night. So whether it's replacing the pillow case or sleeping on a towel, just make sure it's clean.

Easiest way to think about this is in terms of whether you'd enjoy the various effects of hormones, which include:
* feminine redistribution of fat
* small-to-moderate boobs
* cessation of masculinization

* infinitely better orgasms (in my experience)
* inability to produce sperm

On that last point, you can still maintain an erection and have a libido (might need to tweak T-blocker levels) but you'll no longer be able to have kids.

I'm in a similar situation. It's technically a "middle transition", but early enough that instead of looking like an eldritch horror I look like either a really girly 16 year old boy or a kinda meh mids 20s girl depending on who you ask, but I don't want the confusion so I just go femboy with collared dress shirts, vibrant flannels, and other cute but male clothes. It works pretty great for now. I'm in the Houston area.

Research hormones on your own with the various trans help general (that's where all the info is) and come to your own conclusions. I can help you with specific questions if you like, just make sure to fact check what people say with independent sources.

I researched quite a bit before starting, and I've been on them for two years now.

About your penis, it will continue to function as long as you use it consistently. It will also maintain its size with weekly use. Be aware however that your libido will likely drop, sometimes very significantly, so believe it or not you may forget to, or even not care to do so at some point.

For boobs, it's mostly dependent on familial genetics. Expect a cup size lower than your closest female relative-a sister if you have one-or smaller. Most end up with about an A cup, a bit less with a B, and rarely more than that. An A-cup is very simple to hide with a cheap sports bra, no real problem there. B warrants a better quality sports bra or slightly baggy clothes, or both.
