Hey guys, what are some of the lightest weight AK muzzle brakes or flashhiders that don't look like ass? I'm planning on getting my Bulgy AK-74 parts kit done in a faux Rifle Dynamics sort of deal, with a Jmac GBC-13, a slightly cut down barrel with a pinned/welded brake/flash hider to get it back to 16".

The vet said catheter and flushing his system seems to have fixed it and his blood tests are coming back relatively good considering, but he's having to stay overnight for a few days if 24 hour surveillance. What is that shit supposed to be? When I've modified plums to run 30rds of 5.56 reliably, the difference in case taper required raising the rear of the follower and shaving out the follower stops on the inside of the mag. If it feeds one cartridge reliably it probably won't feed the other quite as well, and I'd think anything in between would compromise feeding for both calibers.

Anyone use a SPOSN or Smersh AK chest rig?

I've got an SADF chest rig that I was using, but I kind of want to go full slav with a Russian chest rig and a nice Gorka. My m83 is in a lot better condition than the one pictured it still has the same color as the shirt. I also have the same shirt in great condition too because Nutria brown is the shit.

Is Smersh the better of the two?

Any complaints on either?

I was going to ask in the gear queer general, but I did a 180 out of there pretty quick.

The guy I bought it from wasn't sketchy or anything though, he had just bought it from a guy in another state (presumably when he was a resident of that state) and moved the the current state. His listing was local so no worries there. 14x1 is for aks across the board where the threading is directly on the barrel like pic related.
24x1 is for any ak-74 style front sight bases that contain the threads to accept a brake.

I think you just need to trim off the built in bullet guide and you're good to go. They may have a narrower rear lug--which might result in some up-down play at the rear--but all that needs is a dab of weld or epoxy to take up the slack.
All of my factory 5.56 mags for are polish, I prefer the look over the bulgarians. I also have a couple cheap 74 plums I've modded for 5.56 to match the furniture on the RPK, but I've never messed with the Weiger mags. They're kinda pricey and I think the front sides near the lug need milled to fit--could be wrong though.

Smershs are comfortable. I own 3 along with a Partizan harness. If you don't care about being gucci, just buy a new production one, they're around 150 before shipping. They distribute the weight very evenly and can easily be worn over armor.

I prefer it over the SADF rig because I find it more comfortable, but the SADF rig is still really nice.

I went to a new local indoor range today (indoor ranges are never going to be as cool as shooting outside but this place is only like a two minute drive away so w/e) and attempted to get my Rakurs zeroed and holy cow is it a pain. I'm not sure why, it isn't much different than my Obzor zeroing wise but for whatever reason it wasn't wanting to cooperate. My Obzor is zeroed nicely but the Rakurs wasn't wanting to be zeroed as precisely as the Obzor. I got a few weird looks shooting slav optics and that's always nice though

Also they had an HK P2000sk in 9mm with a LEM trigger in stock for only $600, I want it so badly. That's a decent price for them and I've never once even seen a P2000sk with an LEM trigger in person so it was really cool not only knowing they have one so close to home but having been able to fool around with it it really makes me want to replace my PPS as my carry gun

A shotgun cleaning kit, same way I clean the gastube. You don't really need a to clean out the inside of the brake too much, the threads on the other hand... yeah, then its brush time, don't use Hoppes #9 though, it can damage the factory finish on Saigas and ESPECIALLY on Arsenal SLR's. Just use a CLP like Breakfree CLP.
