I gotcha about the DDC, its interesting seeing that. I was contacted a while back about my shop making a bunch of Mosin scope mounts. They wanted quotes on FDE anodize, apparently tan is a difficult color to anodize and maintain color uniformity between batches. No idea why though, but it looks cool. I like the slight color variation.
