So I finally finished my A2 upper! Now I'm just waiting on my mom's bf to lend me his torque wrench and I can put it all together. I hope you guys will like it, I worked really hard on it. I think I can say now, truthfully, that I built this AR completely because I bought a stripped upper and lower, then put those together, then put the barrel on and gas tube in and that's about as much building as you can do. I didn't put the FSB on, but that's about all I didn't build myself.

I quit cutting foam for this reason, the needs of transport change too often to lock a case into a single configuration imo. I find myself just laying guns over holes cut in foam for totally different guns. Egg crate does best for me.

I'd put anything flat or flexible in another container, like a backpack, or fit it between hard components you're cutting foam to fit. Foam's just there to keep hard components from beating each other to death, so from your layout at least you understand that, which a lot of people on /k/ don't. This one is more a CQB m4 clone that is why it has the Colt M4 14.5" upper and double dicks M4 lower. If I go rails it will be KAC or Troy drop with VGF and at that time B5 stock plus tax light on a tape switch plus Peq. I'm not concerned about it being totally accurate that why I went with the Vortex flash suppressor, I can still mount a bayonet yet the flash is almost entirely hidden at night.

Definitely construct a will if you don't want the lower to be destroyed. The upper is not the registered firearm, so it's not controlled and would fall under normal distribution of items. Just be aware that having a short barreled upper and no registered SBR or pistol lower could theoretically get someone's doggo shot.

And yes trusts got nerfed, but in matters of inheritance they can still be very useful.
