Too lazy to lewd the PC since I have to adjust the thing down to as small as it will go since while my chest is fairly average to large for my height my mid section is twink tier so the cummerbund is as tight as it will get, and the two hook and loop panels under the kangaroo pouch are as tight as they'll go. Feelsbadman.

Also it turns out I have a "Waist that goes up to my chest" since my belt is a few inches below the bottom of my PC, show you in a sec. Might be an issue for mounting the taco's I bought for it. Oh also my belt came in. Pics of that in a sec as well.

I use a Bund webbing rig with lashed on K98 pouches for stripper clips and 4 G3 mag pouches over stuffed with VZ mags as my setup.

Over top a flek parka outer, some good ol rothco combats and the boots I was issued during my service and have had for 7 years now.

I train weekly in this kit and it gets the job done amicably for a sub 150 dollar setup.

Alright so I have an AWS belt on the way and was able to pick up two fastmags for 45 off ebay. How I just need some pistol pouches and an IFAK. I think I will wait a bit on the IFAK but was thinking that either some tacos, esstac pouches, or more fastmags but for pistol would be good. Which of those three do you guys think would be best?

I used to hike and do outdoorsy stuff with a hydration bladder. Fucker always got pierced when I had to go through brambles. Didn't matter if it was Camelbak, Platypus, Source, or whatever. Get a Kleen Kanteen and a Finnish military canteen, and supplement with those plastic soft "bottles" Platypus makes. Best setup I've ever had.

Have dabbled with the idea, but everything else on this belt setup would be IWB anyway. Figure I'll probably end up with the double pistol mag, handgun holster, two AR mag carriers, a flashlight carrier and some sort of very low pro IFAK deal just to carry some basic shit like a tourniquet and a pressure bandage or two.

If I were you I'd focus on having 2 rifle mags or 2 pistol mags. Not 2 of each, whichever you think you'd be more likely to use is what I'd focus on. IMHO having 2 pistol mags on the belt makes more sense, as having a rifle negates having anything g else concealed. So at the point the AR comes out your chest rig/PC should also be out.

It's why I have a AR and pistol mag on my belt, if my rifle is in the trunk I can grab my sadf rig as well, negating the need for more than a single AR mag on my belt.

You didn't imagine it, I'd just love it to be low profile/vis as well for the ability to conceal. If one of nutnfancy's WHTFWROLOMFG scenarios played out, the reality is I'm unlikely to have any serious kit on and would prefer to be just another faceless jerk off in the crowd. A snug belt rig under a coat or long button down shirt would accomplish that end.

Pretty well set on picture/link related for the main belt with a velcro lined under belt actually going through the pant loops, very similar to how HTC goes about their setup.

Anybody got any tips for my innawoods 308 cheapskate loadput? I've been trying to figure out a good way to distribute the weight
The GP100 is pretty heavy so I put both mag pouches on the left to offset it, but 80 rounds of 308 is heavier. I haven't tried putting a mag pouch on either side of the buckle but I feel like the right side would be way too heavy then

The entire point of helmet colors is that they can be swapped out to be environment specific. If you're using Marines as your example you might want to back up and realize they do swap out different MARPAT helmet covers and in fact do not wear coyote colored helmet covers as the standard.

Thats the comparison with scorpion on the left and issued Army combat pants in MC on the right. There are definitely some evident pattern differences and the greens are less saturated. Almost none of that pinkish blotches seen in MC. But the scorpions are faded after semi regular use and multiple washings. Also material is pretty thick compared to UCP pattern ACUs, and its 50/50 Nylon/Cotton Ripstop.

No equipment is out for Scorpion yet, all RFI gear is MC with the uniforms being a crapshoot between MC and Scorp.

Scorpion is older than multicam. It's what was submitted to the military for evaluation and they kept the rights. Crye used it as a basis to create multicam; they changed some of the green shades and added more vertical patterning.

IMO, it looks functionally the same to anybody except autists here who pick over it with a fine toothed comb. 99% of people probably couldn't pick out the difference.

Brand new it looks the same, if you compare them brand new side to side the two patterns look the same minus the MC being slightly more brown.

After a few washes of both they are noticeably different, with Scorpion taking a very odd green hue and MC being a faded brown. After a while in the sun (which we got to experience here in central TX), the two patterns are markedly different and you can spot the difference between who wears what instantly.

It's not really that simple. I've tried doing that with a little pouch of cut yoga mat velcroed into a cheapo carrier, and while it did make the carrier more comfortable, it also made it unstable when I ran, jumped, and crouched. Then I tried other materials. Padding from one of those cheap cushions you take to Little League games and shit like that, padding removed from a cheap airshit belt rig, a chunk of memory foam from an old mattress pad I used when I was in college dorms... None of it worked quite right. It's not just the padding. The cut of the carrier needs to be altered a bit.

So, the Ronin tactics belts are sewn and made by AWS as a subcontract. But I looked at the AWS LAB belt and the way they do their molle is awful frankly. They offer more colors (solid colors have a 7000 lb tension max, where multicam has 5000 lb tension max), and with all the "molle panels" and Cobra+ D ring it's about $20 cheaper but the molle slips onto the belt and secures with hook and loop on the back of the outer belt. But it's now sewn on like the Ronin tactics belts.

Otherwise it looks like the same belt as the Ronin one in terms of inner and outer belt material and quality but I don't know who wouldn't pay the extra $20 for the senshi to have the sewn on pals webbing.

why not? the aws molle panels aren't gonna go anywhere and the position of the panels can be adjusted infinitely. If you need to carry a gorillion pouches on your belt the senshi would be cheaper in the long run but if you are just carrying a couple pistol mags, a rifle mag, an IFAK, and a holster the LAB belt doesn't really lose anything performance wise.

Gotcha...still doesn't make enough sense for me to not just make similar on my own, as much as I love the overall setup and the fact everything is connected. Plus there's some waste in there I don't need. Their med pouch is bigger/bulkier than I need, even the reduced capacity one and that extra slot where the extra pouch or radio carrier goes is something I can live without. The fact I already have a good holster and pistol mag carrier I like works against it too.

I like the fact they offer a ton of patterns. I get it's not cost effective to order a ton of smaller sheets of fabric than boatloads of 3 colors but still, I'd pay the extra 5$/product to get them in more than 3 colors.

Also it doesn't look like they have single pouches for pistol mags if that's your thing. They have single (thin mags) and fat (glock mags) pouches but they only come in double shingles which is annoying. Probably something to do with the pals webbing on the back.

I have a good two strap, only reason I'm thinking about a sling pack is because I always find myself navigating dense crowds in public transport, bars and the like and it's much easier to swing my pack to my front.
