I dont normally post or lurk on this general, but I'd like to know how worried should I be about getting light primer strikes like this upon releasing the bolt and chambering the first round?

How likely am I to ND with primer strikes like this? This is from an AR-10 btw.

>There is a common misconception that the dust/impact cover supplied with most PMAG products is in some way required to prevent feed lip creep or spread over time. This is not the case. When initially loaded, the PMAG GEN M3, and all PMAGs in the current lineup, exhibit a tiny normalization of feed lip geometry within a very small window of time measured in days, and then this geometry then remains stable over many years, heat cycles, cooling cycles, and outdoor UV and weather exposure. We routinely load magazines and place them into stable indoor, hot, cold, and outdoor exposure storage to monitor various batches of material. These magazines are occasionally function tested and reloaded with no issues.

>As implied by the name, the dust and impact cover is indeed designed to keep debris out of magazines during storage, and to provide an extra measure of feed lip protection for magazines in storage, such as stuffed in an ammo can in a tactical vehicle used in off road operations, or for aerial delivery, kicking containers of loaded mags off of moving vehicles, and the like. This ensures that magazines that may normally be out of sight, not maintained, or subjected to delivery handling that is many, many times the normal testing and usage criteria will perform flawlessly after a quick flick to remove the cover.

I going to be real with you. That is a very high quality barrel, and spending $300 to get a similar quality barrel, but 1.5 inches shorter is silly. I'd rather put that money into a rail, an optic, or a trigger, which will all make your stock le6920 perform better

>>32350576
I meant that I'm new to this thread. Never really gone on here before since I haven't had a reason to. Probably will start frequenting it.
>>32350587
I know the hate for magnifiers. I use it because I shoot out to about 150-300 yards generally, and the dot on the Strikefire pretty much completely covers the target at those ranges. As far as the Minimalist goes, I like it because of the placement of the QD mount on it. I will probably string some 550 cord through the holes soon to try and avoid possible snagging, but so far I haven't had any complications during regular field usage. (I carry it with me when I go hiking innawoods)
I may try one of those bravo stocks, though. I liked the feel of them the times I've shot other guys' rifles.

Ballistic Advantage.
>is .223 wylde worth it
Every legitimately good AR barrel is chambered in it by default unless you're looking at a match or varmint bull barrel.
>if no extra cost would you take 5r or 6r rifling
Caudle 3-land polygonal for me, but otherwise it literally doesn't matter
>14.5 pinned or stamp
14.5 p/w unless you want to drop to an 11.5" or 10.3", then stamp.
>the unasked question: unlined, chromed, or melonited?
Melonited provides longest barrel life. Chromed provides best rustproofing. Unlined provides best accuracy. For a hell or high water rifle I'd do melonited, if the interior of your barrel is rusting with melonite you're not doing much shooting anyway.

Switching a LE6920 barrel to something isnt really going to improve body shots 50-100m. At 300m you will be combat effective with the standard barrel.

All my lowers are correctly specced, allowing aluminum GI mags to drop free 100% of the time. Out of the 7 PMags I've had, 3 would not drop free from any of my lowers, and a combination of one or two would not drop free from any single lower. I got rid of all PMags because of that.

i want to streamline the rifle, cut weight, shrink its overall length. i was going to do a 10.5" sbr until i looked at the 5.56 ballistic charts, after looking at them i came to the conclusion i didnt want to diminish my terminal ballistics at 300 meters( which is the niche i intend to use the rifle for) so with that the 14.5" yields the best compromise. not to mention the 16" makes it overgassed as fuck on my carbine length gas system. it was desighned for the 14.5" gov barrels so thats another reason to make the switch. the cherry on top is ever since i got the damn thing my indoctrinated (armyfag) mind cant get over how long the barrel is.
>>

>>32350809
If you want a BA, get the Hanson profile. Skinny where it should be, thick where it needs to be, light enough to be carried all day, thick enough muzzle end to mount even the heaviest suppressors without a significant POI shift.

BHW produces very very accurate barrels, and you'll typically gain about 100fps from the polygonal rifling compared to button-rifled or CHF barrels. HOWEVER, they're stainless, and will wear out faster. They also don't offer a truly lightweight barrel short of a phoned in full custom order (which may bust your upper limit on price). They do offer fluting, which I would encourage to save weight, but they are unlined (it's stainless, it won't rust). This is why I didn't recommend them for your purpose.

Honorable mention to Faxon's Gunner series of barrels. Slightly skinnier muzzle end compared to the Hansons, but good accuracy and a couple options for lining (chrome or melonite).

Regardless of who you go with, for a 14.5" barrel I recommend a midlength gas system. Since you're taking the old barrel off anyway the only additional part you'd need would be a $10 gas tube.

Watched the first episode. Didn't like it. Felt too forced. They are just playing on tons of WWII stereotypes too. Ash raining down from the sky every Tuesday from burning cripples. Like how many cripples are there in the world? You can't expect much else from Hollywood though.

The M4 is overgassed as fuck too.

Most commercial carbine-gas barrels regardless of length are overgassed as fuck too.

If you're trying to shave weight, stay away from government profile barrels. BA's Hanson, Faxon's Gunner, or BCM's pencil or ELW profiles offer a good balance of minimal vertical stringing under sustained fire and light weight.

For ultimate gucci you should get a HK poly.

>expensive
>thicc af so it won't fit some billet lowers, mag pouches
>not very translucent

>absolutely no texture so when you try to reload and your hands are moist from blood/semen/sweat you launch it into next week

It's a interesting show for the cars and driving performance, but its never real. None of it is.

While entirely neglecting German peace proposals in 1933, 1936, and 1940, not to mention that GB and France declared in the first place. Uncle Adolf lamented fighting his neighbors and only went into Poland because commie mongol fucks were persecuting hwhyte Germans there.
It's common knowledge that that particular breed of Jew have very strong math/verbal abilities. Don't know what that point was made for, but a timeline where Max Born Einstein and co had stayed would be interesting.
There were, and ARE to this day, tiers of white hierarchy and you'd be ignorant to deny this.

>unite whites and remove the jews
That would be ideal. White countries unfortunately relied on the jewish banking menace for finance and got manipulated. WW2 was all about financial control.
>poland did nothing wrong
They absolutely hated their German neighbors and refused to get along. To this day they have a saying to the effect of "we can never be brothers on this earth". They mobilized two full days before the invasion and still got rolled.
>kill each other over who's the best white when you can work together to dominate
Fair, but whites need to shed the jewish guilt complex they get fed from birth. Traitors not welcome.

PSA's lightweight keymod rail. Lots of room, free floated and thin profile.

>>32355564
Yup, budget build. PSA upper, picked up a stripped billet lower locally from New Frontier armory for $60. PAC5X scope was $190 from Primary Arms ebay page, mounted never used.

The back up irons are actually really easy to transition to, and the scope being farther back negates eye relief issues.

I have a PSA carbine lower too, but wanted to try out a rifle buffer.

Pmags are garbage.
>Larger than standard mags
>Heavier than standard mags
>Spines crack with regular use unlike normal mags
>Cost more than standard mags.
>Get brittle in the cold unlike standard mags
>Get soft in the heat unlike standard mags
>Melt from solvents unlike standard mags

they have only a couple benefits over GI mags
>easier to take down
>bend back if deformed, unless they crack
>matrix for paint pen
>textured for your gripping pleasure
