This morning I had to decide between a PSA mid length "freedom" upper with a 4140 steel and a "PSA" carbine length upper with 4150 steel, a nitrite finish and an m4 feedramp. I chose the latter. I'm wondering if I made the right choice. On one hand I'm going to have an AR with some really nice features for just over 500 dollars (still need the BCG and Charging handle, but that's it), on the other hand I kind of wanted mid length, and I'm basically going to end up with the most basic bitch AR you could possibly have (pic related is what it's going to look like) and I don't really think I'll notice the difference that the nitrite barrel makes or the 4150 steel makes.

That being said I don't think any of this makes a difference. I'm too poor to magdump on anything. I'm literally going to load 5 rounds in the mag, shoot, take notes on how I can improve and repeat, which is how I shoot all my guns. ARs aren't really my first choice in rifle. I prefer shooting bolt guns, but I can't ignore how fucking cheap ARs are right now and I'll regret the fuck out of it if I don't buy one now.

I thought it looked fine, but I was kinda in a theater in rural Vermont and didn't have the best visual quality, so many of the finer details that expose Uncanny Valley shit weren't depicted. Considering how fucking hard it is to realistically depict a human, I think ILM did great.
