I'd check to see if the switch is going out, or if its got a recall for bad batches. every single streamlight i have ever owned has had SHITTY switches, and bad circuitry. the LED's are top tier, but the switches were junk.

surefire is the only way to go on a defensive or any other kind of firearm.

so i asked in a previous thread but didnt get much of an anwer, is there a consensus on the "best" lower parts kit?

i as planning out a sort of dream AR where the important parts like trigger, selector, takedown pins and mag/bolt catch assemblies would be acquired through good quality brands brands, but theres all the other minor pins and springs and receiver extension that would be needed to finish off the lower. i was thinking someone like Wilson Combat or KAC, but they all seem the same. Strike Industries and Red Barn Armories were also good choices but not much a difference between them besides price. is there really an option out there for a "spared no expense lower build?

How am I ranking these? Quality of machining/surface finish, quality of surface coating, quality of springs, quality of trigger pull, quality of fitment.

The Armalite kit was extremely good quality. Oversized pins, very well finished, selector detent very smooth, light and positive, best milspec trigger I've felt, equal to ALG QMS/ACT. It even came in a bespoke OD green mini hard case.

Yeah, I'm excited either way. I'm not sure if I'm gonna mount it on my AR or my Scorpion Evo once I get the light for it yet.

I just got an Arisaka low-profile pic rail so I can attach my BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 to my M-LOK rail and it's impeccably well-made. On a wider rail like a Geissele I probably would've just saved some money and went with a Magpul one, but it fits very nicely on my CMT UHPR and really minimizes the "gap" between the grip and the handguard. If the Scout mount is half as nice I'll be ecstatic. Looks like it'll beat the hell out of my old Thorntail anyway.

Interchangeable levers (I got the regular inexpensive 2 pack)
Looks keen

What I don't like because autism:
Lever retention by detent instead of screw allows just a tiny bit of slop from lever to barrel; can't feel it when using, but you can if you grab a lever and wiggle
Lever profile is squared off instead of beveled; could be more comfortable with a bevel shape like V7 or Seekins (but then would look like pleb garbage so idk)

Overall 8.5/10. Would buy again.
