Hot gas goes out the top of the barrel through a port. Gas block directs that gas to a tube that runs back to the bolt carrier and drives it back when the gun fires. It's how the gun works in semi/full auto mode.

Cant decide between these at all I like my hammer fired DA/SA's but I have been considering a Striker Fire and even at one point had a 4'' Rhino on my possible list. Looking for the best Partner for my AR rig. Semi off topic, my AK rig I have my Ruger SR 1911 paired up.

I have the PA5x on my Xena-15 that Civilian Force Arms built and I bought from Classic. I like it. Feels like an ACOG w/o and variable zoom. decent groups at various ranges. Decent price for what it offers even though it's not an actual ACOG.

anyone here try a 9mm ar15?
I haven't shot a 9 carbine of any sort yet, but I think I could assemble a carbine or pistol for cheaper than those fucking keltecs. And I could use a folding buffer tube for portability...

I've also seen some ar15s without buffer tubes, make a nice looking pistol. Not really ar anymore when its piston driven and redesigned though. Maybe the folding stock setup with a forearm brace, so I can use a shorter barrel without sbr'ing?

I want a portable pack gun, 9mm is cheap as shit and I've seen decent ballistics from the longer barrel. Plus I reload , if it can handle 9mm major loads or +p+ thats a pretty decent setup. I hear sub 2000s dont like to take it for long
