We found out the warrent was legit, but they were mistaken about the address. Their informant got the address wrong. Was one of those duplexes that share a wall and the doors are right beside each other. They wanted my neighbor. We tried to sue, nothing. We went to the news, and the sheriff said that just because they didn't find anything doesn't mean we are innocent. Because warrant was valid, they don't have to pay for damages. They never admitted they were wrong. Had to move because no doors lol.

Your innocence (along with restitution) can easily be proven by looking at the original warrant and your past housing records. If they don't match, then you win the lawsuit. All you would do is file a discovery request.
