So, I'm finishing up an 18" AR in 5.56, looking for a scope and mount to put on it to finish it. General use will be hunting pigs, coyotes, and be the go to gun. Where I'm at, I shoot between the ranges of 30 yards to roughly 600 yards. Would I be better served with a 1-8 power scope or are there better recommendations? I really don't want to mount a red dot and magnifier, as this won't be a tacticool rifle, but a small to medium game rifle.

Its a "safety" of sorts. The MIL/LE PEQ boxes have a high and low power setting and anything CW of the blue screw is high power. But on mine its just the same power rating across all settings. So no point in me taking it out.

Just put together my ar and its having failure to extract issues.
The gun fired ~20 rounds without an issue but then started having the empty casing stuck at the chamber. Tried loading 1 at a time and the bolt locks back fine, but the casing is still in the chamber.
Was shooting the ammo and magazine on a different AR but it had no issues with it. any ideas?
