Asked this in the last thread and never got a reply.

I've got a 13" BCM keymod rail with a single rail on top and I want to add full length rails to the sides and bottom. BCM only sells 3, 4, and 5.5" rail sections and I can't find any 12-13" on google.

Anyone know where I can find 12-13" rail sections?

Today I learned you shouldn't use small pistol primers in subsonic 300blk because it will slamfire about 1 out of 10 rounds.

No. If your barrel is dimpled and you get a set screw gasblock, it's going nowhere. Clamp on gas blocks are fine too, but you tend to run into clearance issues with thin rails.

The reason FSBs are pinned is because they hold the handguard on and are subject to all kinds of bizarre twisting and bending forces when held by a 200 pound gorilla. A low profile gas block is under the handguard, not attached to anything, and isn't in danger.

Not any more than any other length barrel. 9mm has (relatively) high recoil because it's direct blowback with an extremely heavy bolt and extremely heavy buffer.

my 2c: if your not trying to get sub MOA out of your ar15 then go straight to progressive press.
people say single stage for beginners but the learning curve isn't that steep IMO.
the only reason to do single stage on .223 is loading with grain accuracy of +/- 0.5gr or better which you would never do for pinking or even defense ammo.

You can do bulk plinking ammo and match ammo, and for test loads a single is easier.

the california assault weapon law makes it so having a detachable magazine and a bunch of other scary things is illegal (just the detachable part on its own is okay). if the magazine is locked in place/fixed in place then the scary things are no longer illegal. the bullet button counts as a magazine lock. now they're making the law say that a bullet button is no longer a magazine lock. more guns will now look like >>31855206 which has the detachable magazine but lacks the scary things so it is legal. the weird thing sticking out from the grip is to prevent the gun from having a pistol grip.
