Went to a gun show a few weeks ago and was about to buy a stripped lower for $45 but forgot that since they can legally be build as pistols I have to be 21 or older to buy one.

Building an AR before the election. Is there anything special behind twist rate I need to consider before buying a barrel? I don't plan to stick to a certain ammo, so I'm not looking to get maximum efficiency from my first build.
