correct. If you buy a complete rifle, you can strip every last detent and spring out of it and start from scratch if you want. I just suggest buying a complete rifle so you have something to shoot right out of the box. Modifying an AR requires some basic tools and a few armors tools. but if you hate something about it, you can change it.

Is there a set of rifle handguards that allow the bottom section to be quick detach without having to goober with the delta ring? Preferably one with minimal rails and allows my a2 front post.
I've put on a skeltal stock and love the pantsu shots but regret losing the cleaning kit storage. I've devised an evil plan to add clips under my KAC m5 rail to clip the assembled cleaning rods into, the toothbrush and oil just melt so i neee to plan b those.

BCM makes a decent stubby grip that has a storage space. Most Magpul grips also have storage space. The Enhanced Sopmod stock, and the VLTOR EMOD stock both have storage space. Between all that storage space you should be able to fit something.

Your barrel life will be determined by your firing schedule. If you dump 1k rounds in 10mins, any barrel will be shot out.

QPQ is fine. Chome line is milspec. Barrels are relatively cheap and you can replace easily.

You have to ask more specific questions, and explain what you want out of your rifle. List the parts you want, and I can comment.
