I have a brand spanking new AR that came with a kryptek pattern cerakoted on it. I wasn't specifically looking for a goofy pattern, it was just what the LGS had in stock in the model I wanted and it looked cool enough, so I snagged it. I'm already thinking of other uppers I could add to my collection, but looking at the pattern I'm wondering...is there going to be a way to have a new coating done on an upper that matches the lower? I know they could just apply the pattern to the upper, but would there be a way to make sure the lines and shit all match up so the patterning on the new part was continuous and not all weirdly mismatched?

I know nothing about cerakoting and this was a total impulse buy. I suppose I could just build another rifle when I get to that point, but I'd rather not because it's actually a pretty nice lower.

I have high astigmatism making red dots look like big blurry raspberries. I've lurked in arg before and the general consensus is to keep away from shitty chink optics but I really don't have many options. I could stay with just iron sights but it sucks at low light conditions.

a 15" MI rail is about $200, a URX for example, is about $270, but the quality and fit and finish is proportionally much greater.

Anyway, the front QD slots mean you can't use any of the keymod on either side of your rifle for pretty much anything because your sling will interfere with it. There's a reason why the high-end rails have the front QD cup only about 2/3 down the rail.

The "fin" for the clamps is uggo. That's my only issue with them in general.
