i realize that you put it together probably with the stuff you had on hand but i think a dovetail to picatinny rail on the receiver of the 22 and then a female to female picatinny mount to the AR rail would be better.

>>
>>31411024

>>
>>31411036
Are you looking to go manual or CNC?

drill presses are awesome, but micro mills are amazing if you're going to get into milling out lowers and shit.

The difference between the two is on a micro mill you can set the rpm to match the cutter and material, and they have more precision and tolerances(cuts way down on tool chatter)

Micro mills are more expensive, but they are worth it

something like this would be good

http://www.lowes.com/pd/Proxxon-Bench-Drill-Press/4645489?cm_mmc=SCE_PLA_ONLY-_-ToolsAndHardware-_-SosAtg-PowerTools-_-4645489:Proxxon&CAWELAID=&kpid=4645489&CAGPSPN=pla

>manual or CNC
I figured manual to start out because I don't want to make anything too precise right now. Just small parts. but CNC would be ideal. If I could go straight to that then I'm okay with spending extra. What would you recommend for a micro mill?
>>
I gotta get me some Aussie ammo
>>
>>31411083
lol. Wait, shit I have stuff in the mail.
>>
>>31411127
Generally you can be every bit as precise on a manual mill as you can on a CNC mill (and for the same money, probably more precise provided no user error).

IMO a manual mill's easier to learn how to use than all the coding necessary to be proficient with a CNC mill.
>>
>>31411127
I dont really know of them

Look for a bed that you can move on the X and Y axis, can go up to 6k rpm, and at least be able to hold a 1/4" endmill.

Can't go wrong as long as it has those.

You'll also want to get a low profile vise

If you feel as though you're in an area that you really need access what I do is, after looking around to make sure no one's watching, take it out of my holster and put it under my left leg while getting in. Its more comfortable than you would think and you have quick and easy access with strong hand (protip: domt be left handed.)Inb4 you're manipulating your gun, more likely to have ND just don't be an inbred and you'll be fine

I have never used an afg so I don't know what they're like. I want one for aesthetics but I think my bare handguard is comfortable enough. I also don't even hold it where it would look best so it would just be superficial plastic. I'm so torn up about this.

Alright /arg/ I need some help. There's so many sources for AR15 maintenance that I can't find a consistent answer.

1. What lubricants do you use?
2. Why do some use grease, and on what parts?
3. What parts need more lubrication than others?
4. What tools do you use/need?

I want to put together a basic maintenance kit and add to it as needed, and I think a few metal and plastic brushes plus a bore snake would be a good start. But I'm lost in terms of lubricants/cleaners/grease/etc

1. Shooter's Choice FP10 and Kreighoff Gun Glide
2. Grease lasts longer at the cost of adding friction. Rails on BCG and either the inside of buffer tube or the buffer spring (same outcome, different method)
3. BCG rails are only thing that actually needs lubrication, greasing the buffer tube just cuts down on the sprong sound
4. I use a Possum Hollow 1 piece teflon coated cleaning rod, pretty much the only specialty tool I use (literally scrape the bolt and firing pin with a junker pocket knife). Bore is the only thing I give half a shit about maintaining clean as I shoot for accuracy.

Brushes are gonna do dick-all for an AR. Bore snakes suck at actually getting copper out but will maintain a rifle to "combat accuracy" for many years.

Here's what I'd recommend
>oil
Either Break Free CLP or Shooter's Choice FP10. They're good and they're cheap(ish), available in squeeze bottle or aerosol or trigger bottle in anywhere from 2oz needle oiler to 5gal bucket
>cleaning solvent
Hoppe's #9 copper remover. Works decently well, is nontoxic, and won't eat your bore if left for long periods of time (unlike shit like Butch's and Sweet's)

Rem Oil is a pretty decent lubricant, but it evaporates really fast compared to some of the others and is pretty shit at rust prevention (because it evaporates so fast). Nothing wrong with it, but IMO there's better options.

I use liquid CLP because I buy 8oz+ containers of it and aerosol's not really available in those sizes.

UPIN isn't strictly for the NICS check, it was invented for people too old to have an SSN and has since grown in usage.

Once people drink the budget build cool-aid for too long, they become incapable of appreciating nice things. You could hang a SR15 or DDM4 in front of their faces and they'd stick to their 400 dollar anderson builds with barrels made of melted Geo Metros

Then I recommend you buy this. You just need to cut off the delta ring and handguard cap with a dremel, then bolt the rail on. It's very easy to do.

>>31413359

You can just dremel it down while it's on the rifle. Google "AR-15 FSB shave" and you'll get tons of guides.

If you're worried about scratching your poor widdle barrel, you'd have to take off the muzzle device, punch out the pins on the FSB, take it off, then repeat the process in reverse.

If the rail uses a standard AR-15 barrel nut, you can just dremel off the delta ring to expose the bare nut.

If the free float rail you're buying doesn't use the standard nut, you're gonna have to remove the barrel from the upper. If you've got the tools to do this, you might as well take off the muzzle device and the FSB while you're at it.
>>
>>31413387
>Wasn't a retail source, it was a partial trade for non-gun-related shit and some cash.
Then you can't really claim your build to be normative example of the costs of building vs. buying

A complete Colt M4 upper alone will cost more than that entire gun.

It all makes sense now, even the TV shows about firearms are liberal propaganda, intentionally informing the viewer the absolute bare minimum. But is their intent to create sources of disinformation? To make us believe it is a shallow subject? To attempt to satisfy their curiosity without revealing much of anything, purely an attempt to keep them "ignorant" or "brainwashed" like niggers?

I bet Eric Holder did this.

In 1945 the Soviets installed a placard at Auschwitz stating that "4 Million Jews died here at the hands of the Nazi Murderers between the years 1939-1945"

After the fall of the Soviet Union, the plaque was replaced with a new one stating 1.2 million people died there, most of which were Jews.

In 2004, again it was changed to "about one million" officially.

This is the biggest of the six or seven death camps, at which point we've moved from 4 million to less than a million. But that end result always stays the same, 6 million over and over. How can you lower all the additives and still end up with that same number you claimed when you started? So for starters, there's no way that the number is humanly possible, nor is it consistent, through historical acknowledgment.
>>
>>31413511
for the record, i dont believe the official version of most things.

that said
>Numbers don't add up and the idea of just killing millions upon millions of people instead of using them as slave labor, is just stupid.

you have to realize there was a strong anti-semitic sentiment in germany as well as europe at the time, thats why a lot of germans didnt gaf during the night of broken glass and other very public manifestations of the final solution. and they absolutely did use them as slave labor. not to mention hitler did a lot of stupid shit. with better leadership they would have at least won the battle of britain, and either stayed allied with russia or conquered them at a time when they were at more strategically advantageous juncture.

Different guy. Maternal grandfather was an Auschwitz liberator. He took a ton of pictures, which we still have, and kept a meticulous journal about it.

They rescued around 17,000 survivors from Auschwitz, who said they hadn't gassed anyone in months at that point (they were simply starving them to death). One guy who'd been there since the place opened estimated the Nazi's had intentionally killed around 350,000 people there and maybe an additional 200,000 had died of disease/starvation/exposure over the years. The records in the administration buildings (the Nazis also kept pretty good records) put the number a little higher at around 410,000 executed and around 250,000 dead of starvation/exposure/disease. So using the largest number plus 10% still puts it at 1/10th of what the Jewish media claimed at the time of liberation and 1/100th of what the Jewish media is claiming now.

Only about 2/3s of the people killed in concentration camps were Jews (this is the one unilaterally agreed-upon percentage so assuming it's ture or as true as available records can get). So knock 33% off *those* figures and you end up with less than 2.5 million Jews dead throughout the entirety of the Holocaust instead of the 6-36 million the various "official" sources say (Netanhayu is on record as stating Nazi Germany killed 36 million jews during the official hostilities of WW2 alone, which is about 210% the total Jewish population of western and eastern Europe combined at the time).
