Try downloading it with a different amount of rounds and see if it still happens on second to last round. If it's consistently that one I'd bet that either the spring or latch or fucking up somewhere cause it's not rising high enough to feed that round. Either that or pull it all the way apart and inspect the internal mag where the bullet pusher upper rides, see if there's some sort of nick where it's getting caught

Been looking a few Vortex models, I like the idea of the prism ones where the reticle is etched in so it's usable even if the battery dies, but then keep reading the eye relief sucks and I'm a tall guy with long arms, my stock is fully extended, so I'd have to either give up my iron sight (partly negated by the etched reticle) or have to learn to adapt my position to it, which might not be so bad, but I'd have to buy one and try it out to find out. Pros here are excellent reviews (besides the eye relief) and what appears to be a pretty unbeatable warranty

Otherwise there's a few Holosuns that look/review decent, and they have infinite eye relief. BTW they don't have a very organized manner of listing/naming their products, and there's a lot that are very similar. Another pro here are the auto on/off feature

There's some Burris ones with a prism sight but according to review they can be hit or miss

I've only been looking into these for a couple days, and most of my info is coming from manufacturer sites and Optics Planet, so I don't have the best grasp on what kind of things to think about, hence why I'm asking here, factors I might not have considered just looking at specs and stuff

I've got a pretty basic bitch Doublestar M4 clone so I don't need/want anything gucci, I don't even shoot that often.

I'm basically looking to spend at least ~$200 to make sure I don't get complete shit, but my limit is around $400 since this will be my first red dot, and I'm not sure how much I'll like it, just want to try something new

I have one of the prismatic Vortex optics, the 1x. It's not exactly shit but I'm trying to pawn it off cheap somewhere. Eye relief is a bitch on non-magnified optics. The whole point of a red dot is speed and usefulness at awkward angles; having eye relief works against it.

$200 will get you a PA Advanced Microdot, which is the best at that price point by far, and comes with 50k hours battery life, the same as the Aimpoint micros which cost 3-4x as much.
