I went and checked out a 31 RCO after work, they didn't have the 31F. They didn't have a CH either. But I actually liked the chevron more than I thought I would, especially if I wanted to take advantage of the BAC concept.

That'd be the plan if I go 18". I'd probably get some decent glass too. Something greater than 8x. I may transplant my SSA-E from my 16" or just get another one also. I'd thought of either getting a UBR or doing a rifle stock, but I don't see any reason not to get something like a CTR from a functional standpoint. Significantly less Gucci, but super functional.

Meant to reply to you. Whoopsie daisy. What's a Gucci hand guard for an SPR? I don't think I'd need anything longer than 15". The 12" mark is really where my hand comes to rest on my 15" MI SSK, so that'd be plenty of rail for me. I'd probably just put a bipod on the end and a noveske panel kit somewhere in the middle of it would fit my hand guard.

I was limited to only 100 yards. I zeroed using the standard 25M target and with some focus and patience I found it to be pretty accurate (w/ 193) at 100 yards. I switched to 77 gr and had that high but far tighter group

The rest of /k/ is useless for getting answers.

Suggestions for a 3-9x riflescope for hunting?
Price range 600 or so but for the right glass I can spend more

Looking for something with an illuminated reticle if possible, tritium is best but I'm not too big a bitch to remember to change batteries if I must.

I usually buy aimpoint but this seems to be trijicon's territory and I don't know if I want to spend $800 on a 3-9 to hunt with when I want a 1-4 for my next AR build.

I carry multiple sizes. Big ones can help with gear, impromptu vehicle repair, detaining shit, trussing game for pack out. Possibly a really shitty tourniquet.

Small ones are good for all of the same, plus can be used as a sort of emergency closure if you're having the worst day ever.

Never use regular zip ties for securing detainees. they aren't as strong as zip cuffs. also for an effective TQ you want something an inch wide to be really effective. A zip tie is too thin, a cravat with a stick for a windlass would be better just because of the surface area. not to mention its plastic, and there's gonna be blood. good luck getting a good grip enough to pull it tight enough. I would steer clear of that idea
