Whatever it's my opinion that I've gotten from shooting thousands of rounds of ammo 3/4 of which was steel cased

It caused considerable wear on parts and left residue in the chamber after excited use that doesn't come out. I don't recommend it on ANY firearm that could be used in a defensive situation, way too much of a liability

Both Brownell's and Green Mountain sell original profile pencil barrels for under $200. The GM ones are chrome lined and come in the original 1/14" and 1/12" twist rates.

Original issue Vietnam war surplus magazines are on Gunbroker for anywhere from $40-$60.

A2s have the triangle socket, they just designed the A2 round style handguard to work in it. So, triangles will fit on an A2 rifle, but I'm not sure if they were issued on any A2s.

And you won't get to work on experimental reactors either way initially. You need some real world experience first, which means an entry level engineering job at a nuke company, (try GE and westinghouse), and they will pay for a masters.
