Well, most people claim they aren't racist because most of us are mestizos and we are all the same, and because we abolished slavery way before you, but still they treat you better the lighter your skin is. There is also a general smug attitude towards south americans, and there is a love/hate relationship with the rest of latin america. Most people claim to dislike the U.S. because of muh mexican-american war, but use and love all their customs.

Lo de la libertad se oye muy lindo y todo, pero para llegar a eso es necesario comenzar por lo básico ¿Cómo le dar a elegir a personas que no saben lo que quieren o es mejor para ellos?
Por ejemplo existía un sistema de latifundios muy eficiente, llegaron con su repartimiento de tierras jodiendo al campo mexicano, cada campesino tiene su propia parcela para auto consumo muy poco para vender y competir con el mercado internacional. ¿de qué sirve la libertar si se está muerto de hambre?

so my real question is:

what neighborhoods are very affordable to live in? anything that lacks the elitism or 'clasicismo' as if heard some of you call it from upper class neighborhood like Roma or Rosa? district or of course central/downtown area.

keeping in mind affordable. not completely safe but progressing. really looking for something a bit more stagnant. perhaps things are different in the country but here in the united states lower class neighborhoods have most access to public assistance and upper education which with the right people are designed to help them become incubators for startup scenes and allow gentrification and removal of uneducated and petty criminals.

anything like that in mexico or does the government do as expected from us and provides no help for the people?

Last question brothers, Any of you know of any local businesses that are a relative popular hangout spots for common folk to interchange knowledge and ideas.

when saying that i'm refering to something similar to what we have here when visiting meetup.com/

it's almost as if the local scene has no internet presence and its really hard to get a clear view of things.

in my example living in Las Vegas. You can see a clear presence online just by googling Downtown Project Las Vegas and basically the entire city opens up online.

maybe if you guys can help me out with a local online presence or businesses to check out while visiting that will give me a start.

I'm probably going to get a lot of shit for suggesting this, but I think you could get better advice in the mexican subreddit /r/mexico, it's fairly active and there are some users there that have a bit more knowledge on the ins and outs of the local IT industry, most users there can understand english well, so don't get intimidated if you see all content in spanish.

I honestly believe mexico is a really big emerging economy. I can't believe a lot of you have no faith in your country. it's not going to be easy for sure but i'm surprised to see a population holding mexico in a stagnant state.

and the few who can help make a difference are leaving the country...

and i'm not really just referring to the IT sector, really boils down to the simplest form of the manufacturing and blue collar-skill level.

Arguably the USA has reached its tip so now all we are seeing is a huge income inequality. the tech industry is just being artificially fed at this point creating another bubble.

Call it hipster all you want but excluding the silver spoon 'hipsters' it's honestly a way for the educated lower class to make a living wage.
Which is why you see people from all over the US, Seattle, L.A, Portland, NYC, and other places promote old school manufacturing 'made in america' brands. More people moving to trades and less college educated oriented. and what's pushing that of course is the asinine increased cost of college here.

anyway it was a good talk. hopefully if nothing more i can possibly become some sort of mentor to help bring on a scene in mexico.
