i have intimacy in 1485 and lust in 224, but the only options in the game right now are, "talk", "go out", "pat", "to bed" (only normal, and oral). "concoct"

For the moment its a poorly coded, pretty small repetitive game.

Editing the savegame in this format is, IMO, harder than changing one line of code.

Because it saves the complete state of the engine for each save, and since variables aren't defined on a fixed axis it has to list all the variables in the savefile too. So rather than 3716789321 it has to do, for example, sex_times=3,fellatio=7,bukkake=1,swallow=6,came=7,nakadashi=8,blue=9,pink=3,drink=2,drug=1. That's not exactly what it says but you get the idea.

It's not exclusive to the female MC, but it is exclusive to females in general, and it happens to give the best stat growths of any personality in the game. The only situation where you DON'T want a female to have the "Sexy" personality is if you're roleplaying or if you're tailoring your characters to very specific roles.

There is a male version called "Lewd" but the stats are piss poor in comparison. It's not a terrible personality, and in fact, is competitive with Solitary for being a good hero personality pick, but the female one is just insane.

You can set the adult content off in KS...i'm not sure if that just cuts visuals or skips the scene entirely though. You could run through it once yourself after the last choice prompt (it's some ways off afterwards) and check for yourself though.

In my opinion, the only difference between comfy and circlejerking is the tripfag saturation level. Thankfully there are relatively few tripfags so far and they haven't developed ego-feeding attention seeking behaviours yet.

As for the threads, totally agree. There was no reason to create 3 threads while the first one is still alive, it's not like /h/ moves at lightning speed. I agree that Sylvie needs to think about herself more and I'd love events centred around that. Assertive Sylvie is great and would show more character progression, Sylvie being more happy and more comfortable around the MC, knowing that she is loved for who she is and can actually be her own person, not needing to hide her wants and needs, only living for someone else.

She really went out there, voicing what she wants for the first time and immediately pulled back some, probably due to feeling too nervous about doing so. So as the MC you can show her at this point that you accept her, care about her and also take her desires into consideration. A positive result on her first time actually saying what she wants could really help her with doing so more often in the future too, since you can show her it's okay for her to do so.

First time KS anon here, finished Emi's route last night...

I'd say it was better written than Hanako's by far. Had to split between 2 day though, and on the first day atleast it felt weird to be going after another girl with Hanako on my mind, especially since she doesn't even show up in that route at all...

I found Emi's stubbornness realistic, and her spirit and determination inspiring. I found it interesting that regardless of which decision you made at dinner, it was the choice with Misha that really determined good or bad end. Even though what Misha says to you either way amounts to the same thing, you get wildly different endings. Kind of contrived imo but whatever.

I still think an earlier confession, or atleast actually saying the 3 magic words would've avoided some of the problems...it looks like it would've gotten Emi to open up sooner.

I've only seen the 1 bad ending so far, need to hit the others today, but I found her rehearsed style of breakup to be familiar. I think it was a little stupid for Hisao to choose then to give up, after everything, but I guess that's a bad end for you.

I think her confession...apology...thing could've been longer than essentially 1 screen though. Was really hoping for some more emotional involvement on her end once things finally broke through.

Not that she was putting her distant family before her love, but because she didn't think she could be with someone who couldn't meet her halfway and understand that no matter what face someone wears, what air they carry or how they walk or talk, they're still just a person underneath it all. That she's a person too and sometimes she wants to let her guard down and show herself and others that she has feelings and emotions that are just as sensitive as any other 18 year old girl's.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]However by the end when Hisao risks his life to keep Lilly from making the same mistake he did when he had his heart attack, he shows her that he's capable of understanding other people's feelings, especially hers. It's what Lilly wanted all along but Hisao was just too much of an asshat to realize it.[/spoiler]

As for being contrived, yes and no, it's the classic theme of falling in love with your friend and that's probably what drew me to it since I like that idea so much, but the end was a bit of a curve ball for me.

I'll admit, her's was the only route that made me cry.

But I was so grateful it did. The wheat field scene made me cry harder the second time when I replayed Lilly's route a week after my first time and I was just so grateful that I could still feel this way.

That is a very incisive analysis into Lilly's route and personality, and I admit that I think you have a deeper understanding of her than I had developed myself. Nevertheless, I have a few quibbles on this one.

It's been a long time since I played this game; would you please point out how Lilly is shown to be "greater on empathy" than the other girls in the game?

If anything, I remember that bedroom scene with her when she convinces Hisao to blindfold himself in order to enhance the sensual pleasure during sex, and then when he collapses because of a near heart-attack due to the overstimulation, he notes that she was looking down at him with an expression of pity. I may be wrong, but that doesn't strike me as precisely an empathetic attitude. Sympathy and pity are rather quite opposed to empathy.
And in that particular situation I have to say it would be difficult for any person not to feel inadequate and inferior: thus the feeling sorry for himself and the idolisation of Lilly as "impenetrable". Her intentions may have been benign and motivated by a desire for genuine intimacy, but the eventual outcome was not conducive to that.

In fact, the idea of Lilly's good intentions yielding not-so-good outcomes seems to be a recurring theme, given the example of her constantly reserved demeanor and manner of speech, which does not help one to recognise her "weaknesses and emotions", as you say she so wished for. She has that traditional Anglo-Saxon subtle sense of irony, which can confuse a person as to whether she's being secretly derisive or genuinely trying to be friendly. Perhaps it's supposed to be an intentional character flaw to humanise her, but at the same time you can't place the entire blame on Hisao for not breaking through her ice wall like the NS "Yamal".

This brings me to the scene in the wheat field, where Lilly, as you said, breaks down and confesses her love. I would like to mention that this is the only time in her entire route when she displays any such emotion. The entire rest of the game she's either smiling patiently or looking depressed and being reluctant to share her feelings (because she's empathetic and wouldn't want to burden you.) There was no build-up to this scene, not even the slightest hint or foreshadowing of a tumultuous ocean of passion growing inside her. It just strikes out of nowhere like lightning from a clear sky. That scene, by the way, did not make me cry. Even though I tried to feel the feels that I knew I should have been feeling, my suspension of disbelief was not sufficiently trained for that. But to each his own: I am only envious of you for being able to feel something stronger than I.

The endings never really feel like an asspull good ending. Theres always a dissonance in the relationship that needs to be reconciled. Gstring makes the story more important than the endings.
This uncompromising method made Gstring feel like it was full of real people and not idealistic cutouts.
