I've been researching that market and I think the NAD VISO HP50(recently price dropped to 150 from 250) and the Meze 99 Neo would be worthy considerations.
People say that NAD was trying to make the hp50 sound like "good speakers in a good room".

HD600/HD650 sound like ass connected to laptops and shit. Yes they'll make noise, but an actual amp is needed once you start getting better headphones.

It's a death adder. I bought it at Walmart just to test out and return and it rang up as $10 so I bought three.
I'm gonna buy a ultrasone hfi780, Visio hp50, ath msr7, and 99 neo and keep the best one. Then a r70x, hd600, and he400i and do the same thing. I won't feel good about my upgrade unless I do so fuck it

If you want Bluetooth, csg is a good place to ask. Lots of good chink shit Bluetooth over the ear and in the ear options. Bluedio is a chinese brand that has a pretty good track record. I have the T2s Turbines, would not recommend sound like dogshit and not the most comfortable. I've been told their other stuff is better, though. Ask around in csg for people who have actually bought them though and make sure you don't buy knock-offs. If you want something non-chink then I suggest the Sony XB950BT EXTRA BASS™ Wireless Headphones. Maximum comfy and good sound quality for Bluetooth. I don't own a pair, but I've borrowed them from a friend before and I liked them a lot.

That's a hard one. There's options, but none is a 100% upgrade on the HD600. There's always tradeoffs.
HD600's recommended a lot because it's so well balanced. Not just the FR being very neutral, but how it does everything well and nothing badly, and how it doesn't need EQ.
As an example, HD800 is an improvement in comfort and potentially sound, but costs way more and does need EQ.
There's options that will give you more bass, like the planars suggested, but have less flat midrange (which is the most important), are sibilant or cost 3x times at much.

I'm in the market for new headphones to replace my Sennheiser 598s. I love them, but after several years of near constant use, they have fallen to pieces. They are super comfortable and they sound great to my ears. I discovered over time that they weren't really suited for my use-case as PC headphones, however, mainly because the open back design leaked sound like a faucet. They also weren't particularly robust, and started breaking quite soon after buying them.

I'm looking specifically for headphones to wear while at my computer. They will be worn for long periods of time, so comfiness and durability are more important than sound quality.

I've asked before, but I lost the bookmark of the ones I wanted to buy.

So I need a headset on the cheap that was good sound quality, and I know it's hated in these threads, but a microphone on it too since I game a lot and use it to talk to friends constantly.

I travel a lot and I ruined my microsoft ones (mainly on the outside, the speakers and microphone work flawlessly) but the ear part fell off and it's just easier to get a new one at this point since it's 3 years old.

Any suggestions? I feel like 30-50 would be my price range, I know I won't get AMAZING sound quality, but I don't have a lot of free cash right now.

a closed ear flat monitor headphones with great low end reach available in the EU. I have seen used pairs of ebay go for £70-100. I picked up my ex demo pair in 2012 for £125 I think.

They aren't outside headphones and they fit loosely so will fall of your head. But if you're sitting down for a long time they just sit there... You're not going to notice them until you shake your head.

If you're looking for something more robust look at the 8.35s or similar. There are lots of ex military ones floating about and can be had for cheap. Although only one big cable. They are designed to not be broken.

Another owner here, it is plastic but not a generic type. Its really light and flexible and doesn't creak. And the plastic on the earcup almost feels like metal.

My experience is that these sound like monitoring cans but without the responsiveness. They sound relaxed.
The real annoying factor about these is that they always drop signal on bluetooth every listening session. You can force the signal to drop if you cup your hand on the right earcup and lay on a pillow or something, it has that weak of a signal (but somehow it can still play music when the source is 2 rooms away..).

Was it schiit or a redistributor? Do you have tracking number? Once they actually send it at the shop, it's out of their hands. If it's been a full week and it hasn't left the source, websupport/email or call them to ask wtf.
