Finally got my mini crossbow, it's ok but nowhere near as powerful as all those "very dangerous weapon" news stories made it out to be.
I have no doubt that you could take someones eye out with it but I've been shooting cardboard boxes with it and the toothpicks just bounce off, occasionally leaving a tiny hole and only actually getting stuck in the cardboard when it's so close that it bareles leaves the crossbow

>>61507354

you probably spend $8 on your mcdonalds nuggies each week, just save your money wisely and get something that isn't shit.

Do you want a "Casio" looking watch that can't even keep accurate time and dies after a month just so you can wear a knockoff of a /g/ meme or do you want real Casio quality that will outlive you and will still be going when you're old? For $8 that's a small investment for something that lasts years.

Stopped by home during my vacation and found my 14 year old original xbox lying in a drawer. Did some digging on youtube and mod support has improved dramatically since the old days. Software modding as opposed to soldering a chip on the motherboard.

Plan on swapping the harddrive on the xbox, softmodding and running emulators (sega genesis/gameboy/supern intendo etc) and xbox ISO games.

Hooked up my xbox and the picture was blurry as fuck, no surprise given the original resolution is 480p and modern TVs are atleast twice the size. Ordered pic related yesterday for 3$ which lets me run 720p resolution.

Jumper EZBook 3 Pro is the best reviewed one so far in the budget range. It was legendary for a flash sale where the price dropped to $219 for one day which was an insane deal.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDeA3u0LwOY

http://www.gearbest.com/laptops/pp_647765.html

The Jumper EZBook 3L Pro is coming in a week with a bigger 14" display and expandable ram up to 8gb. Otherwise a revision.

There's also the Jumper EZBook 3 Plus next month which can expand ram up to 16gb and has a stronger chipset. May be the best bang for buck yet.

Alright, so, I've been looking at android wear smartwatches, and I don't know if I'll actually use it if I get one.
I was thinking about getting an older Moto 360 on eBay just to try it out, but I figured that some Chinese sites may have some cheaper alternatives.

Anyone know of any not-terrible android wear smartwatches for under/around $60?

Not looking to get anything fancy, I just want to try it and see if getting something better would be worth it, or end up in a drawer somewhere.

Last thread, someone recommended Lemfo smartwatches, and they look okay, but I'm specifically looking for something running android wear, Lemfo uses something that's not android wear.

I was considering something Pebble, but the platform's kinda end of life.
Though because of the community support, it's not out of consideration.

Though I'm still primarily looking for android wear to give the platform a try and see if I'll like it. I'm not looking for just any smartwatch, hence why I'm trying to be so specific.
The alternative would be a Moto 360 from eBay for like, $70. Just hoping to find cheaper chink shit.

To be fair, China is literally the definition of competitive free market taken to its logical extreme, as in, Chinese employers will do absolutely anything to optimize the cost of their product because their competition is just as cutthroat.
That means shitty salary for workers, zero workspace safety, shitty QC etc. Whatever restrictions you can encounter can usually be circumvented via bribing the right person.
Which isn't a bad thing for us as consumers, though, but then again, the flow of capital goes to China, which is why everyone is panicking and trying to restrict trade with it.

Pebble is great even if it's end of life for a few reasons.

The e-ink screen lasts all week.
There's a ton of watch faces available, including tons of Casio faces and /g/ stuff like OS9 and MSPaint themed ones.
The apps are still available to download and it has a rich ecosystem with developers still making stuff.

Even if they pull the plug and there's nothing else added I'd be happy with the Pebble as a nice looking Casio emulator.

looks like I will have to buy a lifetime worth of goods before they close the rules, by 2021 hopefully 3d printers will be mature enough to print out a ton of smaller goods,
also don't get the point on these small items that will never be made competitively at home because of the high taxes of EU states,
rgb bulbs for example- you have a choice between a 50 euro one(made in China) or you can import a 15 euro one from China
it looks like they want you to buy it from the middleman so you can get taxed twice(once the vat the Eurocorp pays, second the vat + corp tax the eurocorp has to pay, which allows the EU to fund their comfy lifestyles at the expense of the common man

Not him but I've bought almost all of mine on Amazon. I got two refurbed Steels for $40ea, one 2SE for $56, a Time Steel for $86, and I got a Time Round at Target when they clearanced them to $60. This seems to only be on American Amazon though, other parts of the world don't seem to have the same glut of cheap Pebble's. Right now you can get a brand new Time for $50, but it had/has the worst build quality of all Pebble's and the hardest to read screen. The 2SE is probably you're best bet at $55 or so. The Time Steel's are massively over-valued and not worth their current asking price because they too have questionable build quality and the massive bezel looks goofy imo. The Time Rounds are the most attractive of any smart watch ever made (in my opinion) but they have barely two day battery life in exchange for thinness and the batteries in them are known to swell up and die for no apparent reason, also not worth their current asking price due to this. The monochrome ones have the best readability and contrast in low light but the color ones are more "fun" of course.
A few things:
>DO NOT trust the water resistance to withstand anything more than splashing from hand washing. As the hardware supply dries up it'll be harder to replace them if you kill them with water damage.
>Don't let the battery drop to below 30% if you can help it, there is a theory in the community that Pebble didn't incorporate adequate protection into the hardware/software to prevent damage to the batteries from discharging too low
>This extends to charging as well, don't leave them the charger all night, only long enough to charge to full.
>If you are gong to "dry store" one for an extended period, maintain the charge between 30% and 70%
>All the color ones have an anti-glare coating that is easily scratched, I got a huge scuff in my Time Round just from getting too close some drywall in my house, use a screen protector.

I'm pretty certain there aren't any cheap china watches that run Android Wear. Your best bet is look on fleabay for good used or refurbed AW watches. Here's a Zenwatch 2 1.63" for $90 that's refurbed and they just released wear 2.0 for it on the 19th so you'll get to try the latest version of AW too.
>http://www.ebay.com/itm/Asus-ZenWatch-2-4GB-1-2GHz-1-63-Bluetooth-iOS-Android-Touchscreen-Zen-SmartWatch-/232106670864?var=&hash=item360aa2bb10:m:m1uyY-KJ0Rvicvty9FJqOmQ

I think you'll find AW pretty underwhelming in the end. Just curious what use case you have for a smartwatch, or what do you envision using it for?

650-652-660

Was just curious, I would've imagined there'd be more cheap chinese android wear watches by now.
Ebay for something like that or a moto 360 was the original plan.
I was wanting to see what a first party smart watch was like, I tried one out for a very brief period, and it seemed neat, wanted to try it more since i didn't get a solid taste as to if I really wanted to invest into one.
Pebble's community support and cheapness seems like a more realistic daily device for me, but I still wanted to give android wear a go, and if at worst, i could give it to my mother or father, or just sell it.

I tried this, they generally penetrate cardboard much better than the toothpicks but they don't fly straight so more often than not they just bounce off

Hello /csg/,

Xiaomi collector anon here. I managed to take a picture of the milky way with my Mi 5S last night. Used the standard camera app, a tripod, 32s exposure time and 3200 ISO (both max settings).

Pic related is unedited. Grainy from the high ISO, but pleasing nonetheless. I managed to remove some noise by overlaying several pictures, but I wanted to show the unedited version here.

I received my RN4 global edition thanks to you fucks. From the xiaomeme online store, bought it before the news of their fuckery and what happened with one anon from here.
It's new and as described but I gave them a 1 star review because they chinked me with that super cheap tpu silicone case, it's not worth a single dollar and they took 6, the screen protector should have been given for free.
Anyway about the phone, it's surprisingly well built and responsive, what surprised me the most was MIUI, it's decent to say the least, I'm stuck with it for the mean time until the 72 hrs mi account bind time is over.
Camera and video are horse shit though, but the great battery life makes up for it.

How is the Xiaomi wallet?

There's a USB hub in the shape of a Genesis which can house a RaPi with a little bit of work to make the HDMI fit.

When AliExpress tells you something has been "shipped by air" that means it's on a container ship right?

Point is that the SD625 does 95% of everything you could need to do on a phone without terrible lag, much like an i5 from 4 years ago is perfectly adequate for most people even today. Only thing its missing from a flagship chip is a better camera isp and the ability to push VR but that's forgiven when you're getting a phone for < $400. Point is also that you're getting performance that was reserved for $650+ phones only two years ago. Hardware advancements have mostly stagnated in recent years, you don't get huge jumps in power each year and you don't constantly need the latest most high end chipset to run things smoothly (unless you're Samsung).

What country will replace China as wages increase?
>>
>>61521103
I have no idea. India is an inefficient shitting zone, some countries in Europe com close in regards to factory wages but are fucked by environmental regulations pushed by the EU, nogs are too dumb and lazy, and South America is in a shitty location.

I want to set up my computer audio system like this:

Speakers always on, connected to the motherboard.
Accesible audio input to connect my headphones without having to unplug the speakers, even better if I can just leave them plugged and select my desired audio device.
(Speakes audio jack is fucked, same with front case audio input).

Will this work?

This. Also I can very well see my country's government thinking "tax every package = more money", resulting in the national postal service having to hire hundreds of more workers at $15/hr minimum wage because otherwise it'd take weeks for them to sort through all the packages.
