Additional short instructions:
ipfs daemon
ipfs pin add -r Qmc5K4pAxcTBWWkrMyz8mSdiMVqhGx4MwG8A65k8tiis63
Point browser to: localhost:8080/ipfs/Qmc5K4pAxcTBWWkrMyz8mSdiMVqhGx4MwG8A65k8tiis63

If the the browser shows nothing, read the output from "ipfs daemon" and see if maybe you got it running on a different port.

They're the files from: >>60214821 I checked the first two links and they match the adfly links, I didn't bother to check all 20+ links but I doubt they're wrong, /g/ does it for free so I decided I might as well import all to one folder and share the link, though the anon reporting the archive is damaged made me think adfly anon could be just trolling so unless someone posts screenshots of the unzipped dumps, I decided to disable the link, once it gets confirmed I'm sharing again (I can't confirm myself, I'm on expensive capped connection and 12GB is a lot).

I have fifteen utorrent 2.2.1 running on my home seedbox, the biggest one with 11,000+ torrents occupies 333 MB of RAM (34% of 16GB RAM is used by windows 8) Each of them has < 7,000 torrents (except the one mentioned earlier) since more than that will create a loop of unannounced torrents (By the time that the first announced torrent gets a second announce, the 7000th torrent just gets the first announce)

I'm the anon who set this up.
I wanted to setup IPFS on my VPS, but I can't seem to get the thing to play nice with init or systemd. The examples the devs have don't seem to work for me. This is mostly necessary so my daemon is running (almost) 24/7, but I guess I'll get that working some other time.

I wanted to improve the ui so it provides actual links instead of only the hashes, but I'll have to do that later. (Going to sleep)
For now I set up an IPFS node, and published the current version to IPNS.
ipfs name resolve QmfDoTBMMmQddBr4iBiungjK
Yj4PUP4mye7xdau9TLvRGh | ipfs pin add -r

Running the above line will pin the latest version. (Although, no updates have been made) (also remove the line-break)

If someone else wants to make improvements go ahead, and I'll look them over when I wake up.

The magnet IS kind of the location of the .torrent file.

Or rather, the BTIH part is the checksum of the torrents information header (bittorrent information header). You get the torrent that matches that thing from your DHT peers, your client ensures the checksum matches. And then of course you can verify stuff with that torrent.

As opposed to that, if you hand anon on /g/ -or a search engine- a magnet and trust that the torrent they hand you back is the "right" one blindly, maybe things go wrong more easily.
