How do you guys set the tightness of a metal strap? I've had nothing but leather straps for many years and I just got my first metal strap but can't quite decide on a tightness.

Your wrist will expand and contract thru the day. Generally if you just set it so when your wrist is expanded it's on the tight side of comfortable that should work.

One way to find that setting would be to set it how you think you might like it, but then if your wrist ever expands so much it's uncomfortable to wear you need to make it 1 setting looser and stay at that setting unless it happens again.

other than the thickness they look and feel exactly the same to me. the f105w decal has a lot more blue on it but they are essentially the same other than those things and the EL backlight. the straps are identical. the modules are not quite identical (slight differences in alignment of the LCD elements) but the feature set and pusher functions are identical.

Nah, that appears to be a uniform wear pattern. The eggshell thing refers to point damage, where the softer material below the hard surface gives way, making the hard surface crackle rather than just create a little gouge.

How do I get water out of the dial? Right now it's in a jar of rice but that does not seem to really do anything other then just concentrate the water to the center of the dial.

Long story short the fucking idiots watchmakers that I gave them the watch to fix the broken glass did a shit job in closing and sealing it as well.
So now I have water all over the dial (from a dip in the pool), there is actually a drop of water on the seconds hand moving with it with each beat...
