Let's say:
1: I install Windows 10 as guest VM in VMware.
2: In VMware, I specify a private network between the host and the guest.
3: My host has an internet connection.

Is there any known way that Windows 10 can escape the private network and get access to the internet?

(Assuming, of course, that I haven't deliberately run any other software on my host that can bridge between the private network and the internet.)

My laptop is becoming slow and I think that my SSD might be the problem, often it takes 15 seconds or longer to just open a word, powerpoint, eclipse or any game and sometimes it's even slower. I looked into TRIM and AHCI, cleaned up my system as well as i could, ran anti-virus and malwarebytes. Nothing changed.

Pic related is the benchmark I just made. Left is the SSD with my OS and programs, right is my HDD I use as storage.
Looks pretty bad, but the HDD surprised me desu, look at those access times.
The SSD is now over 6 years old. Do I need a new one?

I wouldn't rip out the mobo for it, but you could do some tidying up. Mostly you just need to make sure you've got enough airflow for your GPU/CPU. If you're not OCing or using an upper level GPU, it's not critical.

energy saving and all that stuff is turned off
pc was on, running fine like always, I leave for 10 minutes, come back and the DP screen is just black
its power led is on, but it doesnt appear anymore in nvcp, windows settings dont detect it either

I tried restarting multiple times, plugging it on-off, tried others DP ports on the card ( monitor only has 1 port ), checked the nvcp settings which havent changed anyway

I just did a fresh install with last nvidia drivers, same situation, I'm on win10 ( inb4)

I hate that black glossy plastic that a lot of electronic items come with nowadays, you know the one that somehow gets a ton of fingerprints, dust, hairline scratches, etc.

I saw a tutorial video that you can use a scouring pad, or the scrubby end of a sponge, to run back and forth on that plastic it take off the glossy finish and create a more "brushed aluminum" finish that not only looks decent but removes all those fignerprints/dust/scratches

I've done it with a few older things I had and it turned out not bad. Have any of you guys ever done this? I may start doing that with all glossy finish plastic I get that I don't plan to resell in the future

Let's say I have a database for vidya, in Vidya table let's put the names of all vidya and foreign keys on other tables such as Developer, Publisher , console etc.
Console and Vidya have a many-to-many relationship hence the additional table.
But what about Screenshot?

I'm running deluge-web on a linux box connected to a vpn that is connected to my network like so:

linux box with vpn -> wifi signal -> netgear router -> ethernet cable -> modem gateway -> internet.

I connect to the deluge server via web browser on my phone or main PC and type: 192.168.1.X:PORT and it works fine when I'm on my LAN.

Now to my vague understanding of connecting to a server over the internet, the format should be EXTERNAL_IP:PORT. However this does not work because the port isn't forwarded and my current router to modem configuration doesn't allow the port forwarding to work.

This raises two issues.

No, I didn't. I figured I might need to somehow, but I was somewhat scared to. Here is what my drives look like. Disk 0 is the new one I want to boot from but isn't working, and Disk 1 is my old one, which I'm still on right now. I guess I need to change Disk 0 to the C drive?

I already knew about NVMe BIOS settings issues, so I enabled UEFI in my BIOS. Could I be missing anything else? I thought it was just to make the drive visible to the BIOS.

things it could be:
1) malware -- if you installed anything recently that you don't trust, uninstall it
2) confusedware -- if you installed or updated anything recently that you DO trust, make sure it can't run in the background on startup unless it needs to
3) too much shit on your desktop -- if you have folders on your desktop that have a shit-ton of files in them, or a shit-ton of files just directly on your desktop, move them all to a cleanup folder in your user profile or documents folder
4) runaway windows update -- google the windows update repair tool and try it out
5) DOS attack -- make sure your ports aren't forwarded unless you need them to be -- if you do need them, try switching them around a little to throw the hypothetical attacker off track
6) ram failing -- if the slowness gets much worse and/or it goes away but then things start wildly glitching the fuck out in ways what all shouldn't even be possible on a secure system, get new ram

I have a folder containing ~600 images(*.jpg), but the file names are all weird.

For example like this:

I want to rename it to:
15871755_636105186595362_1456087739357733022_n.jpg

Can this be done with a batch file or any other way?
One logic I thought of is,

for ( i=0 to all files in folder) {
  str = name of file[i]
  pos  = last position where ".jpg" is found in str (maybe by RegEx) 
  strNew = substring of str from 0 to pos
  rename file[i] to strNew
}

The card doesn't get hot, the rad does. If i take the top off of the case, it's obviously not as hot, but it's aesthetically unpleasant. Do you think if I flip the fans so air is being pulled in instead it will be ok?

I use an old 11" thinkpad as my "TV box" atm running Win8.1

I have a weird issue where after about 40min or so of watching video I suddenly get a weird sound issue. The sound goes real slow and distorted and only is fixed by restarting the PC.

I've had th is happen many times and I check the task manager the second it happens, only 7% cpu usage, also checked event viewer, although admittedly I dont know what any of it means, didnt see anything relating to an audio driver crash or anything like that though either

This is a fresh install of Win8 too, with updated audio drivers from manufacturer. The PC isnt running hot or anything

What the hell why is this happening?
I'm pretty soon probably going to just get an android tv box thing anyway

Haven't checked, but on full load the GPUs temps are like 61c which is pretty good, but of course all that heat goes to the fans and if i leave the top lid on on the case, it gets super hot to touch. I've gaymed like this for hours and it works fine, but worried it may damage it in the future.

You think it's worth trying to flip the fans? Or should i just leave the top off even though it's ugly? And will a single 1080Ti Hybrid (when it's released) fix the issue since it's a 16nm GPU and not 28nm like maxwell

Should I just not get a hybrid GPU anymore for this small case and something else like a 1080Ti FTW3 with 3 fans and put 2 exhausts at the top?

Only reason I had these 2 GPUs with aio is cuz when i put 2 gpus next to each other with fans they were running at full 100% speed and sounded like a jet engine.
