The thing that gets me is that people on PTH are uploading tons of stuff and seeding it forever for no reward at all. I don't know how ratio matters in this case. People are only making ratio by gaming the system via freeleech or autosnatching. Ratio is actually hurting the site.

It worked for what.cd because that site was alive for 10 years and was slowly built over time and that was the only place people went to find music, the circumstances are different now and the same system will not work

Don't feel like seeding long term? Want to just download and be done with like you did on TPB? Want to download lots of popular stuff without fucking up your PTP/HDBits/BTN average seedtime? The following sites/trackers are good for downloading quality content without seeding long term, if at all.

>1) MorethanTV (MTV) - Lots of TV shows and few movies. Ratioless unless you want higher userclass. No HnR at all. Serves as a minimal BTN backup for popular and somewhat-popular content. Has movies from HDB. Rare stuff has to be requested. Recruits from many well-respected trackers.

>2) PreToMe (PTM) Currently the best private general ratioless tracker. You only have to get past the 60hr HnR. There's encodes, remuxes and Blurays from internal groups from top trackers but being a true ratioless tracker, you can't expect good retention here, especially for rare content. Very community-oriented and does not lose members easily due to many activities and a userclass system. Recruits on BTN and PTP.

>3) Baconbits (bB) - Ratio-based, but no HnR at all. Good for downloading movies, TV seasons, books and music from other trackers. Not good for bleeding edge new stuff unless it's popular. Excellent request fill rate since members are also on top trackers. Tons of freeleech, anything over 20GB is FL, and BP can be exchanged to FL the torrent of your choice. Their invite forums are as effective as WCD's as well. Used to recruit from reddit and all top trackers, but currently closed.

>4) SoItGoes (SIG) - Not a torrent tracker, but a Mega linksharing site. No seeding at all and very few dead links. Lots of internal movie encodes from HDB/AHD/PTP, tons of TV seasons, some books, and plenty of music. Not great for bleeding edge new stuff because of the relatively small userbase - better used as an archive for stuff older than a week. Use with Jdownloader or Megatools to make downloading even faster and easier. Recruits from bB, BiB, TPS, and their IRC.

Literally ask for a reseed request and be patient, if no one reseeds check torrentproject.se or other indexers. If no seeds after a week you're probably fucked. The indexers usually don't check for peers too often so you may want to just download the torrent and leave it leeching for a few days and see if you get any data at all.
