Razer designs look gaudy and tacky, their keycaps are cheap, and they have a reputation for switches dying inside of a few years.

People keep trying to tell me their shitty Kailh switches are better than the cherry switches they used to use and it really gets on my nerves.

They switched to them for no reason other than for branding ("With our special Razer Mechanical Switches") and to save money.
The build quality on those switches is worse than cherry switches and they're fucking horrible to type on if you ask me.

I don't have too much room on my desk as you can see so that's partially why I like them.
The main reason is efficiency for me. This keyboard has every key that a normal 104/105 key keyboard has, they're just mapped to functions.

Portability is also a plus, I like to take mine with me to uni since their own keyboards are horrible to type on

Other than that it's just because they look nice.

Top one is a a linux computer with SSD storage. Used for my work. Bottom one is a windows computer, which is used for steam streaming mostly, and for hosting file servers when need-be.

Both are basically identical on the inside, aside from a large set of storage drives in the bottom one.

European anon here, about 17 years ago I seen a computer at a computer store that I have not seen since or ever and I was wondering if you anons could help me figure out.

It had the dimensions of a CD case, maybe smaller, it had cd driver like on a laptop, it had a speaker on top and it had the outputs on the back of it, a power button somewhere near the speaker, it had normal specs so it was not some embedded product and it was branded by some weird national company but pretty sure they didn't make it. it may have been a little thicker than a roll of duct tape.

Any ideas?

I bought a bag of 100 velcro strips from China for about 4 or 5 bucks including shipping. About 1 cm wide, 13 cm long. If you need more circumference to hold a lot of cables, stick two of them together.

Used them for all my appliances as well as my dad's computer and still got some left. Will just buy another bag when they're depleted.

desu i put it together because i wanted to try out them there cheap sandy bridge xeons, had a 2670 for a bit but the clock speed meant it was shit for gaming purposes, so i switched to the best priced 6 core workstation part. ECC RAM is also stupid fucking cheap, i got 32GB for the price of 8GB standard RAM. as it is, i think i can safely say that sandy bridge xeons are currently the best bang for buck you can get if you want a machine that can multitask in all ways, ive edited video on this thing quite comfortably, i play games at 1440p, and every once in a while i actually do some programming on this machine when i can no longer put off that shit.

it also does machine learning stuff fairly well, i ran a neural net in weka over my coursework data on this bad boy and it took it only a minute or so, whereas my t420 took 30.

£100 at worst, your biggest problem is going to be the motherboard, theyll charge you an arm and a leg for a good one that supports it. if youre really interested in the 1650, youve got 2 choices. if you go x79, you get to overclock that bad boy, because the 1650 is an unlocked xeon part (its not unheard of for these things to run stable at 5 GHz, but good luck getting one of those golden chips now that every cunt on ebay knows). if you go c602/c606, you get ECC support, which means you can go to town on the RAM for fuck all money. be weary of buying server boards, servers often have quirky board configurations that are designed to be used with proprietary riser cards that you wont be able to source for a sane price.

It's the Dell U3415W. 34", 21:9, 3,440 X 1,440.

I strongly prefer 21:9 to the previous set up. A little less pixels over all I believe but it's all on one screen. About the height of a 27" 16:9 screen, but a little wider.

It is indeed quite comfy. The only downside imo it's the rolling wheels being all plasticky. Of course they sell HQ sillicone sets on the official website, but for 40€.

I forgot to mention it also makes you sit straight, because it hugs you like the seats in expensive cars. You can't just lean to a side and hurt your back. If you sit close to your desk you'll be pushed to a straight back position.
