Any gaymerz use magicforce? Worth getting? I'm new to this and I'm reading stuff about no n-roll over and don't know if this should be a concern.

most rubber dome keyboards have 2kro, so if you've been gaming on those then it shouldn't be a problem. Since modifiers don't count towards the limit, 6kro (which is what magiforce has) is more then enough.

Leopold fc660c or realforce?

Anybody used both? How are the switches? What are your feelings about them?

The Anne Pro has Gateron switches and different coloured cases for just $80. Is it worth paying the extra to get the Vortex Poker? I figure there has to be a catch somewhere.
>>
>>58322827
>Anne Pro
Pok3r probably has nicer build quality, but it has limited programmability. Something to consider.
>>
>>58322793
I have the full-size version with greens. The board itself is great, with very solid build quality. The stock keycaps, not so much. I replaced them and never looked back. If I bought another WASD board, I think I'd get the bare-bones V2 instead, since I ended up using caps without transparent legends.
>>
>>58322793
Got a v2 with clears, very solid board. backlight is nice, media buttons are well laid out, can't complain about much aside from the caps not being the best, but I expected to replace them anyways.

>>

I would personally go for something doubleshot PBT, but doubleshot PBT with shinethrough is a notorious bitch to actually get ahold of if you want to preserve the CODE's backlighting.

And PBT's nice because the oils from your fingers don't shine that shit up like they do ABS.
>>
>>58322395
I know the look and I'd take leopold with no hesitation.
The problem is where i live I could get any Realforce with no imports or go for leopold for similar price but add ~28% customs and taxes.

Thus my hesitation.

What keyboard cherry stem compatible switch should an alps addict get? I hate linear switches, so it would have to be either clicky or tactile, have a nice noise, and be smooth as fuck.
Also I already have a Topre that I use for work, so hhkb + alt stems is not what I'm looking for/

Alps have a higher actuation and are much smoother. The closest you can get to them with cherry switches are either clears or greens, which can be found on Ducky or WASD keyboards

For someone who loves the tactility of Matias QC and hate that of Cherry switches, I was pleasantly surprised with Zealios. My 67g Zealios are almost as crisp as Matias QC, the only differences being that the bump doesn't start exactly at the top and there's some leftover linearity past the bump.

Mod switches seem promising, but they're kinda new so I haven't dared to try them. Both switches are pretty expensive though, and soldering them to a premade board is very time consuming.

Been out of the loop for a while. Looking for a replacement for my G710+ with some broken keys and now dead WAS/arrow key leds. 100€+-, backlight, volume control, brown/other color suitable for gaming. Suggestions?

>>58333691
MK Disco or Ducky One TKL RGB. Or IKBC, Anne Pro, Vortex Poker.
>>
>>58333792
Ducky One looks good.
>>
>>58333691
How long did that take to break?
>>
>>58333852
3 years. Couple keys broke earlier last year, the white connectors literally crumbled. WASD leds died just now, I was considering buying new caps earlier but I think it's pretty clear a new keyboard is the way to go now. It was a fine keyboard otherwise and totally usable still but I never did need 18 macros and such.

So why did the white hhkb price skyrocket

Australia, New Zealand, Japan and S. Korea are the only countries in the world that matter.

What kind of switches do you like? I don't know how much of a help I'll be, this Tomoko is the only one I've ever owned but I love it, especially at this price.
>>
>>58341108
Objective wrong
>>
>>58341173
I like the ones that don't sound like a train

Steelseries must be fucking garbage quality if it can't compete with a chink keyboard. I remember buying a Steelseries 6gv2 for 45$ on sale on my local shop and the keycaps were faded as fuck.

>>58340953
Get a tower or something to cover it when you're away. I usually open the windows when using my PC so dust accumulates fairly quickly, I use an air canister and vacuum cleaner for anything else.
>>
>>58341225
Well don't buy something you're not gonna like. This shit is very loud.

What about this brown switch one? If you want a numpad, then it's even cheaper than Tomoko's if you were going to get a numpad version.

>>
>>58341271
To be fair though the keys got fucked up as hell now

some buttons randomly don't work, shift, T, space bar etc had lots of problems.

>>58341301
I don't think I've ever used the numpad before, ever. It's literally covered in a layer of dust and always has been.

I guess I might get that then...
>>
>>58341271
They're a mainstream gaming peripheral company, what do you expect. About the only one of those that makes any decent products is Logitech, and even they fuck up a lot.
>>
>>58341005
What board is that?
>>
>>58341382
If you want something super compact, there's this.

Can choose between black or white and any switch you want. I didn't go for it because I hate the font.
>>
>>58341502
what's with all these blatantly chinese companies?

Is tomoko, drevo and all this shit even legit? So far the tomoko looks best, I think i may just make do with the blue switches.

>>58335891
Yes, and?

It's a meme you dip

Does it make you feel better if you pay more to have the name of a big brand on it, even if the quality isn't that different?
>>
>>58341606
It's the nature of the cheap keyboards, I guess. All I can personally recommend is the Tomoko since I'm typing this on it right now. Fantastic build quality, it's just that the keycaps are kinda cheap.

Ready to get a paw up on the competition?

>even if the quality isn't that different?

That's what I'm skeptical about.

why do i have a weird feeling that it has some sort of backdoor and you become part of the Chinese botnet?
>>
RGB Pok3r or Anne Pro
>>
>>58341660
Yep, can't wait til those arrive so I can put them on my custom board
>>
>>58341674
Pok3r in my opinion
>>
>>58341482
>>58341005
that's a render
>>
>>58341866
ok then what board would be the closest to that
>>
>>58341674
Pok3r, but they're both great in terms of quality. Either one will work about the same. I just picked pok3r for slightly better looking RGBs

sold my 2 boards, fc660c on the way :)
>>

>tfw was gonna get that but it's not on amazon.ca

what the actual FUCK?
>>
>>58342001
Strange, I wonder why. Wouldn't it have shipped from the US anyway probably?
>>
>>58342082
fuck it ill just get the tomoko i guess

I live in the basement of a townhouse so the sound shouldn't be too bad.
>>
>>58342103
It's only loud enough to bother people in the same room unless you're in a really small and quiet house I guess. If you don't mind the sound, it's a great keyboard for the price.
>>
>>58340535

I bought all of my furniture for next to nothing. I make a point of living on very little money.
>>
Im having second thoughts on the pok3r.. maybe i should just buy a ducky..
>>
>>58342138
Okay ill get it.

just ordered one, why is the keycap poor though?

It's going to be my first chink KB
>>
>>58324509
Then get one. I'm personally considering the Pok3r RGB myself.
>>
>>58342755
I assume the main issue is the awful font. The caps are probably cheap ABS, which is not terrible, but not that great.
>>
>>58341660
They ruined a subdued board.
I would love to put some artisan keycaps on my HHKB but that would ruin the look, so I just use the extra keys from PFU.
>>
>>58340953
Yes and a swiffer too. May I suggest buying a data vac electric duster? Yes it's 60bucks, that'll save you money in the long run.
