This is so funny. The people who were around during freeleech abused autoleeching to get a ridiculous amount of buffer, and are now coming up with ways to prevent new users for getting "easy buffer".

They got theirs, now the new users have to work their way up. No shortcuts allowed. I'm one of the ex-Elite on WCD guys that got in the day after the freeleech ended, I'm in the top 10% for # of torrents uploaded, yet I barely have ~500MB of buffer. APL and PTH have different approaches: pick your favorite tracker (or even better, contribute to both) and put your energy into building a new musical archive. This way, everyone wins! No one is helped by negativity.
Of course you can be critical, but stick to the facts and be respectful to the efforts of others. People are putting their time, energy and money in this, and they owe absolutely nothing to anyone. You can always suggest improvements but if you don't like the approach of a tracker, just don't log in, it's as simple as that.
It's not a competition, it's a combined effort.

Both Apollo and PtH are valid choices imo. People who say either is better, are shilling or memeing. Both have their faults. Optimally, you'd want to be on both, since either one could potentially start doing laps around the other, depending on how things progress. But just being on one of the two is alright, assuming both will be around for a while.

Yeah, I'm starting to feel the same way. It really feels like PtH is understaffed. Torrent reports are pilling up and there hasn't been much of an effort to start clearing them. PtH obviously has the better userbase overall, but how long they will stay there with the staff being unusually quiet right now is unknown.

If they can't open up invites to the greater what.cd userbase and start trying to fix the economy's problems, pth will suffer in the long run and Apollo will start to overtake. I had faith in PtH from the start because the staff seemed a bit more level headed in general.
