The so called "what economy" really is the best system for music trackers. It promotes uploads and, most of all filling requests. If there were a bonus point system, there woudnt be much incentive to upload and requests would mostly go unfilled. Such a system works fine on sites like BTN and PTP because the number of movie/tv shows are greatly limited, unlike that of music. Not to mention, any retard can make good music uploads, but video encoding actually takes some knowledge to make a worthwhile upload.

This is so funny. The people who were around during freeleech abused autoleeching to get a ridiculous amount of buffer, and are now coming up with ways to prevent new users for getting "easy buffer".

They got theirs, now the new users have to work their way up. No shortcuts allowed. I'm one of the ex-Elite on WCD guys that got in the day after the freeleech ended, I'm in the top 10% for # of torrents uploaded, yet I barely have ~500MB of buffer. There are useless members with <5 uploads that have TBs of buffer already.

As one of those who did get into PTH for the FL and obtained closed to 1TB of buffer (and who is in the top 1% for uploads), I'm not opposed to allowing new users to gain some easy buffer.

Something has to be done to keep new users interested in uploading in the first place because the current S\L ratio is crushing them. I've seen plenty migrating (their uploads) over to Apollo already. Without any new blood, PTH is going to die without any help from the feds.
