My music tastes are pleb enough that I can get good lossless stuff from other places, but there's one series in particular that I'm having a hard time finding in good quality.

It's called "Super Eurobeat", and is basically a set of compilations of italo disco music. It has been going on since the 90s, and there are well over 200 volumes at this point.

Could any of you guys on the new music trackers check for me if they have a good number of volumes of Super Eurobeat? If so, I will seriously consider trying to make it in.

You guys know how porn producers encode each video with a hidden watermark, so that it's extremely easy to trace the originator of copies on torrents?

What if there was a similar thing for private tracker websites? That way it would be incredibly obvious which dingus took a screenshot and shared it on /ptg/.

Just like read BEP. You can tell tracker whatever bullshit you want, and it will accept it all.

You send info about how much you downloaded, and how much uploaded. Same happens for other users.

So if you download 100 MB, all other users had to upload 100 MB in total, and all parties report it. If it doesn't add up, because some people didn't report, tracker doesn't care. It just changes numbers for the users that reported their upload/download. You can as well ask tracker for peers, get their IP:port info, add directly to peer list in your client, and download without reporting to the tracker. Or send bogus info to the tracker, with OVER9000 TB uploaded – in this case you can expect someone to notice and ban you.

You can cheat in many ways, by either reporting lower or higher values, or not reporting at all. There's no sure way to tell if particular user is cheating, only that some kind of cheating happened. You can even download from people seeding on trackers, that you are not part of, which might cause these people to get into problems, due to reporting upload, while no one on tracker downloaded. That's why I'm personally against all kinds ratio systems – they suck.
