Well, that Ambience Kit comes with three color bulbs and a hub. I already have a hub, and a bunch of regular soft white Hue bulbs. What? I already have a Hue hub. You do need one, but I already have it. if you can get it really cheap they are good machines. Old model has shorter battery life and only 4gbs of ram. Newer models come with i5 and i7 and also 16gbs of ram, still the internal storage is small and everything is soldered.
I would go for a x220 with maxed out ram and ssd instead and also with extended battery. It will be easier to put linux in it and also you can still find spare parts everywhere. Problem is that the screen is 12.5 1366x768 and avoid TN panels like the plague.
