Yes and I got those same results. The Tmobile one doesn't work and gives me an error, as I said. The next solution is to pay for a code, which the other site and video are offering. There are 3 options here.

They put it on sale for a dramatic amount.
They put it on sale for the (current) amount.
There is no sale.

Take your chances.
>>
>>57388822
i think recov mode should be able to access data, could look on xda's s6 forums for anything if that route doesnt work
>>
>>57389205
Well, the recovery mode I have only has one option related to accessing files and it's a /mount system option, which shows nothing in windows because I figure that either my drivers are fucked or I don't understand what it means by mounting /system
I figured I would flash twrp to it using Odin. I read a few guides, downloaded Odin and the twrp for my model. I open Odin and none of the com's have anything in them. My phone isn't recognized, so I can't flash anything to it in Download mode. I'm starting to figure it's my drivers but I've installed the ones the guide tells me to and still nothing.

>>

basically
and this isn't a myth both apple and android are in agreement on this 2bh

all you have to be aware of is what your apps are using and to disable that if it's not needed (ie like you never use location in facebook so disabling that goes a long way).

Incorrect, they always have bands 1,3,5 and 7 which will give you LTE coverage in almost every major city in the world. For my country it's only missing one band (28) that is not very widely used (at least in the part where I live).

Blame your retarded signals agencies for having to be special snowflakes.
>>
>>57390267

Oh. Well they are missing out 2/4/12 which are tmobiles necessary bands which is one of the biggest players in the unkeked phone market.

I do. Non edge. I love it. The camera is excellent, it's fast, and it doesn't lag. It's much faster than the old iPhone 5C I used to have.
Touchwiz is not as ugly as it once was, and you can theme it. I still have Nova launcher in it.
The only bad thing about it I would say, is that the dac is not the best. It's not terrible, but it's just meh. I'm planning to buy a portable dac to drive my headphones better. But you should have no problem driving the headphones that come in the box, or IEMs.

Does anyone have experience with warranty of china phones? People tell me how it works in theory, but I want to know what were results in practice. If phone breaks during 1 year warranty period is it in any way practical to send it back to chinks to get it fixed?

>I got 2 G4s in the span of 12 months because of bootloops, warranty expired and I just want to sell this shit and get rid of it because if it bootloops again I'm fucked.

Never touching anything made by LG again.
>>
>>57395838
What really pisses me off is they fucked the G4 hard. I have a 3 year old BEAT THE FUCK UP G3. It has been great though. You can get them on ebay now for $80 but it is a 801 chipset.

The G4 had some serious bootloop flaw, I think it was related to heat. I've opened plenty of phones and installed thermalpaste and shim, even this G3 so maybe that helped. They always have a .5-1mm gap from the phone casing to CPU(which makes no fucking sense)

I'm desperately trying to find a G5 with a later serial number now because I don't want ghosting. Bootlooping is rare on that phone, but they did use G4 displays on them(which had ghosting problems really hard).

I can't imagine the V20 to be bad, they have new display panels and whoever they're buying/making from now are good. They need to fix their quality control, and I'm pretty sure this is the phone they're gonna do it with.

Should you buy it now? No, i'd probably wait... $800 is steep anyways, give it 3 months and I bet it drops to $600. Pixel is gonna promise that you have no problems with your new google iphone

Ok. So now that my Nexus 5x is dead (bootloop problem, same thing that happens with LG G4, so i can't even access recovery) i need a new device. What should i get if

I have a note 4 and I want to still use my blackberry bold touch for texting/emailing/typing in general. Is this possible at all? Whether it was its own phone that I used for texting and emailing or it was just a bluetooth keyboard for my android, either would be fine.

Or if there's a god-tier keyboard case or something for note 4 that would work too. Most of what I see wants to treat it like a laptop, I'd rather it be like a candy bar with a slide-out keyboard or something.

I have a dumphone and want to upgrade to an inexpensive but decent and by no means 'cheap' smartphone that I could outsource my use of mostly social media to. Relatively long battery life would be appreciated, but is not a priority. A decent screen would be nice.

I live in Lithuania and my carrier is Omnitel. I'm interested in this Xiaomi everyone's shilling here.

Would I be able to use it in my country? Would it require a lot of work to set it up, i.e. would installing an OS be necessary? Are there any known issues with the hardware/software included? Also, what model would be best to get? And where do you guys get those things from? I've never ordered anything form AliExpress or the like, are there any recommended sellers? Thanks
>>
>>57397292
>Would I be able to use it in my country?
use links in op to check frequency

Installing an OS is not necessary, you can root and flash another rom if you so desire though.

No issues, but if you root & flash a rom you run the risk of the phone having an issue where when it hits 5% battery things get wonky.

The one that works with your bands, probably global/international snapdragon model redmememe note 3 pro

Aliexpress, geekbuying, idk whoever handles chinese shit in your region.

>>57397858
Waterproofing phones is the biggest meme since curved displays.

Have you ever dropped your phone, even if nothing visually broke?
You can't rely on it being waterproof as the seals are extremely minimal.

Is it over half a year old?
You can't rely on it being waterproof as the rubber seals deteriorate.

Is a hatch even the slightest bit dodgy?
You can't rely on it being waterproof.

No repairs can nor will guarantee waterproofness.

Sure, it will probably be water RESISTANT but the sacrifices in build quality made ensures you have one of the most fragile phones ever constructed.

Fuck everything above splash resistant, if you want to use it underwater then get a case specifically made for that purpose and hope the chinks or you didn't fuck up the mounting.

I did say of 2015. For this year OP3 is still one of, if not THE, best. I do prefer the design of the 2, mainly the aluminium frame and the uniquely textured back. The OP3 looks rather unoriginal. I guess I'm just the type who prefers metal frame + normal back. I hate the new Galaxy phones' designs and think the Note 4 is Samsung's best work aesthetic-wise so yeah.

Also when will Nougat come to the OP2? Anyone else prefers heavier, substantial phones like me? I'm not liking the "go paper thin" trend right now.

>>57400769
I picked it up about 3 or 4 months ago. It's a very nice phone which should be expected in this price range. A nice daily driver if you don't use the screen too much. Battery percentage can plummet very very fast if you do, especially with video and other multimedia consumption. Performance is snappy, nonetheless.
My biggest problem as someone who's coming from a Nexus device is the lack of early updates. Still waiting for that sweet Android N, senpai.
If you want premium audio performance (headphones as well as speakers) and build quality, then go for the HTC 10. If you however value bang for the buck more than fancy build quality you should go for the op3. Then again it probably boils down to personal preference in the end.

Yep, it's a great deal. If you have any special concerns though, double check http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/04/21/is-it-worth-it-to-buy-the-galaxy-s7-and-s7-edge-unlocked-in-the-us-guide/

Should answer most.

What's wrong with the Moto X Force? no I'm not buying the bullshit modules, it already comes with a 3500mah battery
>>
>>57400909
It's just not worth if you're already using the 7+.
>>
>>57400863
It's probably worth to mention that I'm gonna be using the phone in the EU

It is impossible for me to get Google Pixel.

Would you recommend something from this pic or OnePlus 3?

I'm fucking tired of my Lumia930
>>
>>57400992
mi5 probably but if you can get the OP3, then get it
rom support is out of the world for that device
>>
>>57400992
Xiaomi has gud quality and is very nicely priced. Mi5 would be the one I'd go for.
>>
>>57401009
Thank you. They ship to germany with no problem.

Thoughts on that Huawei mate 9? I don't want to spend extra on the porsche design one for the AMOLED screen..
>>
>>57400070
it's neat. but it charges slower, and if you can't take one second to plug your cable in, you probably can't take the time to put the phone down on the charging station either.
it's a gimmick which is cool to show off to friends, but that's about it.
or if you're /diy/ you can include it in a piece of furniture too

I got the s7 active, coming from a turbo 2. Ive had it replaced because it is not as water resistant as they would like you to think. The Bluetooth is not very quick or adaptive, the favorites button gets pressed on accident all the time. Quite honestly, I'd happily go back to my turbo 2 if att carried it, it was a MUCH better phone overall.

What if I bought an used Iphone 4S?

Would it be a good investment? Any problems with it OS-wise?

Didn't glitch for me on iOS9 on an iPhone 5. Not a power user though. I listen to music and chat with people over either whatsapp or discord. Sometimes light browsing but that's about it.

Currently on a 6p so I'm used to stock/near stock Android, is Sense UI as bad as TouchWiz or LG's interface?

The 10 is "supposed" to get nougat towards the end of November, but yea i know they won't get the updates as quickly as Nexus/pixel devices

Should I get the op3 if I don't care for ROM support?

nah, new HTC Sense is almost non customized AOSP look. Only the notification bar icons and some system of the system settings look a bit different.
If you use a custom launcher like Nova you'll probably not notice the difference in day to day usage.
>>
>>57401229
Yeah it's still a really solid device. But I mean if you're wanting to save some money (and xiaomi phones support the bands you use), dont mind miui, then get the mi5.

>>57401233
SE is much better performance wise and will be supported by apple officially for some time, whereas 4S support is already dead.

How long do you guys feel the s7 will be supported for given it's now Samsung's flagship model again?

Who knows. I'd probably wager it'll get supported as long as the S5 has.

Anyone who has got S7 here, do you get slight white screen for a few milliseconds before application is launched? (i.e. non-cached)

Sadly, i fucking despise MIUI same as I hated iOS.
Looks i have to go with 1+3. At least it's cheaper tham MI5 plus.

I don't, using nova launcher if that affects anything though.

My two requirements are that the phone gets:

LTE (band compatible) and
wont die in 3 years.

Anyone have opinions?

Is the moto g4 play good enough for the price or should I look for a similarly priced chink phone? Grandparents want smart phones and I'm moving them to Cricket to save them money (they pay more for two dumb phones). Also if anyone has questions about Cricket, I've been using it for a few months now.

It's a meme pushed by smartphone manufacturers to get you buy more charging accessories while shortening the lifespan of your charging port.

Just look at how Apple has removed their headphone jack to make users wear out their charging port faster. They're now pushing for Bluetooth earpods and soon will have their own patented wireless charging pad.

Yeah no lie that pixel is hella clean, zero lag, very minimal frame drops and pure android stock with no bullshit bloatware features (Samsung/LG). Going to buy it when the price drops. Was considering the LG v20 but I feel like it would bootloop in less than a year.

I like having 60gb of music on my phone as well as 100 ROMs or so for all sorts of consoles. Being able to use headphones with them is nice.

Why are you opposed to a $150 phone having 160gb storage? Fuck off.
