thinking about getting a mountain bike, what kind do you have

Avoid all the department store brands, they're all chinese owned and produce bottom of the barrel trash, and people keep buying it because walmart has convinced consumers that a bicycle shouldn't cost more than $150.

I got a specialized bighit bike with 1x9 gear setup, a boxxer fork and a nice fox rear coil shock, got it in a trade and yes it is technology

Do you ride trails and other off road stuff? If no don't buy a MTB but a rigid hybrid.

pay the minimal price for something good
check to have brake disk... regular brakes are pain in the ass I swear... then check what you want to do with it... if you want a lot of offroading you will want some better tires, just ask tell to the guy at the shop if is for park or mountain. Also decathlon has nice things, check there... the cipest mountain bike with break disk should be okay. I paied 264 euro, but it worth.
