Well my Focusrite 2i2 arrived, didn't work and I got a full refund from eBay in an hour. I didn't get chinked this time but now I got this piece of metal that doesn't work.

Couldn't see any water damage and internals seem to be in pristine condition except it only gets power from USB and no data is being transmitted. Tested with a voltmeter and it's getting the proper current, just the PC doesn't recognise it.

Anyone got any ideas what I can do?

There should be a code inside the box for you to register your device on the Focusrite site then it takes you direct to the latest driver page automatically, I didn't have to deal with a forum with mine. Make sure you have the very latest drivers direct from the site and install all the other software you get with it followed by a restart. Other than that I have no idea what to suggest, mine just werks.
