Of course not. There will always be trolls and people who break the rules, but they will be found out and banned, and this practice is not widespread. I think I covered this scenario already in my previous post. Of course it is possible to do this. There is no way you will ever detect 100.0% of transcoded material, whether by manual or automated analysis. You have to accept this as a site operator the same way you have to accept that you won't catch all bots with CAPTCHA, or block every spam message with an email filter. There will literally always be people that break the rules and get away with it, sometimes for extended lengths of time or even indefinitely. But the percentage of users who will do this purely for the lulz is very small, advancements in detection algorithms will tend to make the practice harder and harder over time, and the potential gains (mostly just lulz) won't stack well against potential losses (being banned from the site) especially for users who have otherwise invested any time or effort into the tracker. This mostly confines bad actors to the lowest userclasses on your site.

Again, it's not about flawless detection rate - you will never achieve that. It's about increasing the level of effort required to successfully game the system, such that that effort outweighs the potential gain.

GUIDE TO WHAT.CD

1. Ideally have an interest in a certain genre of music and download new releases as they become available. Set up notifications for 40 or 50 artists that regularly release things and hop on them soon after upload.

2. Download all the freeleech. Xmas and the anniversary are the best times for this, rest of the year it is a bit sporadic.

3. Setup rtorrent, Rutorrent and autodl-irssi for 2016 FLACs. You can restrict it to only 5 a day or something to check that you are actually getting upload credit. If it isnt working consider getting a seedbox.

4. Find other places to download music from and upload to what.cd, be that paid/free/pirated.

5. Fill in requests. I joined what and spent an hour or so looking back through the oldest requests for my favourite genre and found 1 or 2 reasonably big bounties that had been uploaded but not filled. There's also the added bonus that the person that made the request may not even be on the site anymore so theres not much chance of it getting unfilled. EZ pz.
