That's the last iteration of my >>56452560 setup. Mousepad is Artisan Shidenkai Xsoft L in white. Good luck finding one. It's really slippery if that's what you like. Glass coated, can't bend it. Could use some tidying up, I also personally hate mismatched monitors as the difference in contrast ratio, color uniformity, viewing angles, pixel density, etc. Just really bug me and become far more noticeable when you have several different monitors together.

The shakes from what? My walls don't resonate. These acoustic foam panels are for absorption, mostly for higher frequencies given the size of the wedges but they do some work for midrange too. Speech and many noises in the room doesn't echo strongly anymore, clapping hands sounds more like a single "thump" than a slap etc.

It can but the wedge size and absorber placement should be different. Corner placement is generally much more effective at bass absorption than just slapping panels on walls like I've done here. However, porous traps for bass aren't terribly effective at controlling LF room modes overall. I could measure my room response with these panels and compare it to what it was before without any absorbers. I doubt I'd see any meaningful difference in the amplitude response or decay of low frequencies. In fact I shouldn't as they aren't effective for LF absorption.

You really need to have a way to conduct in-situ measurements of your room if you want to fix the bass effectively. Absorbers have an effective bandwidth and it's important to place them in room to correspond with the modal resonances present.

An array of subwoofers is one way to smooth out the LF sound power over a small area in the room and if correctly positioned subs can also introduce selective wave cancellation.

And you can also equalize bass response in a single spot(or in a larger spot if you have a sub array) if you have a PEQ and you aren't trying to fill notches in the response caused by acoustic cancellations.

Maybe some time in the future we can get affordable active loudspeakers which can use DSP to fix bass response issues.

They were talking about playing computer games and watching movies or shitposting dude. Not driving. If you require your full attention span to follow the plot of a movie and read 4chan either something is wrong, or you're a woman.

Obviously things that actually require full attention aren't multitasking activities, like driving, but even then you should be a good driver and be able to hold a conversation of mild intensity handsfree, else imo you shouldn't be on the road. The reason for that is because driving itself is multitasking, you need to pay attention to your surroundings as well as your own speed, car status, other drivers, traffic lights, while making calculations or decisions on whether to give way/slow down, etc. So yes, texting mummy is too much.

Playing a computer game and watching a tv show on the other hand is nothing.
