My Android smartphone got stuck into a bootloop after trying to bypass the FRP, should I ask for a replacement or try to fix it myself?

If yes to the latter, should I just wait three days to enter my account, or should I try to bypass it again using another method?

Really want to ask for a replacement right now. The second I entered in my Jewgle shit is the second it started getting warm to the touch.

Trying to repair my corrupt windows 10 files without reinstalling windows. I used "sfc /scannow" and it found corruption, but couldn't fix it. I used the "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" command but said it couldn't find the source file. I mounted an ISO of the same windows 10 version and used this command "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:esd:E(the drive that my iso is mounted on):\Sources\Install.esd:1 /limitaccess" Still got the "source could not be found" error. Having no degree isn't unheard of. Or even having a degree in something not related to technology at all. At one company I worked for, we hired on a senior level engineer who had a degree in English Literature. I heard about this website NCIX, I guess they are Canadian but they have a US offshoot NCIXUS. Apparently the deal here is they build your computer for you for $50.

Has anybody done this? Does it work? How does it work? I see you can add the service, I'm assuming you just have to make sure you have that AND all the components in your card before hitting submit?

I''ve gotten lazy in my old age and not having to turn my fingers into hamburger with shitty metal cases and running to the post office for 2 RMA's every build sounds worth $50 to me.

My laptop (HP Pavillion dv4-2116la) shuts off on its own every once in a while because the CPU gets too hot. The processor is an AMD Turion II Dual-Core Mobile M520 2.30 GHz. I have not a single cent to get some tech guy and fix it and I'm very desperate because I can't do any homework or work with it. Is there a way to "underclock" the CPU to make it less hot? Would it help? What else can I do to keep it cool? I already cleaned with an air compressor myself but it wasn't a through cleaning because I'm too scared of breaking it up too much and then damaging it or not knowing how to pull it together .

I managed to find a cable modem at a thrift store for pretty cheap, so I bought it. I then got home and plugged it in (I live in an apartment where the cable connection is always live) and after a few reboots found that it's getting service. I'm pulling 100/20 (actually 102/25) and the signal looks clean.

My question is, has anyone else ever experienced something like this? I fully expected to plug it in and run into the walled garden. My intent was to sign up for Comcast next month when my DSL contract is up.

Also, how long can I expect the service to be live? I've had the modem plugged in for almost 2 weeks now and even after a couple of power cycles I'm getting service. Would I get into any trouble using this until they figure out they left a modem active?

if you got all the dust out, then it's possible the cooling fan is broken
replacing it isn't too difficult, look up some tutorial videos for the same/similar model laptop

in the interim, underclocking/undervolting can reduce the heat output if it's available, check in the bios
that or you can use an external fan blowing in through the bottom of the laptop to force some airflow

Learn to walk before you can run. You'll probably do introductory procedural programming, algorithms and data structures in C, and high-level abstraction and construction techniques in C++. Plus every C program is a valid C++ program too.

Way late to your reply, but I started out doing SEO and contract jobs for other companies or individuals, and some interesting technical work as well that wasn't web related. The two that got attention for me enough to get hired on my first full-time gig were doing a site using common web technologies (LAMP stack that included essentially forum registration and had 6 mil websites indexed on it, strange thing) and doing a hack for a company to demo a controller at E3 that they modded. The full time job was primarily writing PHP scripts to scrape data off of different websites, but I was able to do more front and backend work and eventually moved on from that to something much more advanced

Nvidia is more forgiving in that regard than AMD, but it will depend on the game. It's worth it though to get a good i5 or i7. Graphics cards get obsolete pretty quickly, but a good CPU can stay competitive for like 5+ years

You probably just pulled out the harddrive power cable or the sata cable. Just plug it back in and you should be fine. If you ruined the harddrive or motherboard it will cost you around $100 to get a new one and about an hour of labor to reinstall the operating system.

Hi guys, i'm running on a 4670K on a Z87 mobo with a GTX 770 OC'd.

TL;DR would a 1070 be wasted on a 2 years old build?

>>
>>56386534
It's probably difficult to say, even for someone who is intimately familiar with the hardware, since it depends on the particular models and the games that you play. There are of course ways to figure out what the bottleneck of your system is right now, and make your decision based on that. You also might want to consider what the purpose is of your upgrade. Do you really need the upgrade right now or could you do it later (the longer you wait, the more bang you'll get for your buck)? When will you do the next upgrade on your computer? The 1070 is a premium card and there's a lot of diminishing returns in the premium price segment. If you don't intend to upgrade more than once every 2 years it makes more sense to buy a mid-range card than a premium card.

My 400$ laptop has an i3.
How much of a disparity is there between this an and i7? In quality and price?

I can run Dark Souls 1 around 20fps, and most early 360/PS3 multiplat games that are on PC.

Some of which--according to CanIRunIt--have a minimum of i5 requirement.

Whereas newer games I've seen have i3 minimum requirement, like the latest Deus Ex.

I don't plan on buying another laptop, just curious about all this.

I bought pic related, thinking I'd be okay without root... But I'm not. I'm really not. Not actually owning the device I purchased isn't okay, and half the apps I install don't fucking work without root. I can't find any info on rooting it, other than generic auto-generated "just fastboot oem unlock and flash twrp!" guides, and I've tried Root Genius and Kingroot, but neither are working. What other options are there? There's nothing on xda about rooting it, and the commands that work on the S50 don't work on this one.

>>
>>56387481
No. Assuming your PSU has enough juice to power everything, literally the only place where just plugging in whatever fits would go wrong is your motherboard headers. Everything else inside just goes wherever there's an available plug, and is totally compatible.
>>
>>56387499
thanks!
>>
>>56387463
If literally half your apps need root you're doing it wrong. Also buying a niche smartphone by a construction company running current android and expecting it to be rootable. Why don't you just dual boot debian and OmniROM while you're at it? ;^)

>>
>>56387522
I mean, maybe not half, but enough that it seriously detracts from the Android experience. If I wanted to be stuck with whatever shit came with the phone, I'd buy an iPhone. Not being able to use TitaniumBackup, AdAway, Greenify, Tasker/Automagic, GravityBox, and Xposed sucks.
>>
>>56387541
Then look up what you're phone can do before you buy it. You should assume things are locked down before you buy them. And if you (or the company you're working for) are buying THAT phone, you have other reasons not to get the iphone. Just disable the bloat apps, use Adguard, and get used to stock android. It's a lot comfier than previous versions.
>>
>>56387585
It wasn't out when I bought it, it was a preorder. There didn't seem to be any other good options for phones(not fragile as shit, decent battery, recent Android version, not from a company that's pushed ads or fucks up Android, waterproof, SD slot), and it didn't even occur to me that I wouldn't be able to root it. It's my first smartphone, and every other one I'd looked up was rootable, if you don't mind voiding warranties, as have been all my Android tablets. Plus, thermal imager. Always wanted one of those.
>>
>>56387620
It sounds cool, although the little golden switch for waterproofing seems a little gimicky. Honestly it's just surprising to see a rugged class phone that isn't ass. But yeah, loads of phones are unrootable, especially the ones running marshmallow. Often times a phone won't get root until it's gone a year or two without updates or someone's specifically built an exploit for your exact model.

So I posted yesterday that I had the weirdest problem in the world. Every time I stopped touching the keyboard and mouse, for example watching a video or playing a game with a controller, video goes to like 1 fps, sound would still work fine. If I moved the mouse, it went back to normal. I updated drivers, ran diagnostics etc, nothing. I was ready to send it to the store but first I thought to check the processes and found 2 shady looking ones and stopped them and then deleted them. One was an exe from the folder of a pirated game...

Apparently, of course, it was a fucking virus and the fucker responsible, as now everything works fine. Pic related, it's me.

In conclusion, if something weird is happening with your pc, check for viruses first.

The head of the IT department at my job wants me to look into Powershell to see if I can come up with a script that will look through our WAFS server and identify any folders that are saved under the wrong directory via comparing folder and subfolder names (we use a format where each client folder we have starts with a 3 letter identification code, which is what my department head wants the script to reference).

I'm an absolute retard when it comes to scripting (I can barely handle Python), but since it sounds like they want me to become the Powershell guy (they think I'm knowledgeable about scripting because I used the "Record Macro" function in Word to jury-rig a basic formatting macro for accounting to use) I figure I might as well ask: is it even possible to set up a script to do this or if I should just start looking for a small freeware program that does what I want?

Yes I have. Should I try to find a video card?
>>
So I got my first PC build running, it posts and aside from some fan wankery, it seems that everything's running fine.

But when I power it on, instead of pulling up the BIOS/CMOS, it just asks me to select the boot device or insert the boot media, and doesn't give me any options to do so.
Is this because there's a connection issue with my harddrive or something?
>>
>>56390082
And since you added the hard drive the screen is now entirely black? Is your monitor connected to the motherboard or your GPU?

I want a macbook. All it's going to be for is classwork. I'm a CS major and I tend to have a fair bit of things open on my computer at any given time. The most I'll need graphics-wise is enough to play something like Hearthstone. I don't want to be slowed down by compiling projects or anything silly like that but I also really value my portability.

Will a Macbook Air 13" be enough to not be slow in what I'm going to be using it for, or should I get the Pro 13" for 350 bucks more and heavier?
>>

i've been trying to overclock my 970 for the last month or so but i need a bit of help.

i'm using nvidia inspector to monitor load, temperature, clock speeds et c while in-game and stress testing. one thing that has me confused is the "Est. Max" section. i had the core clock set to +155, so 1269MHz, and the Est. max said "1600". my game crashed because it was trying to reach 1600 which is too much for my chip. so i lowered the core by 5Mhz and the Est. Max dropped down to "1504"... noticing this i raised it again by 5Mhz to see what would happen and the Est. Max changed to 1509.

basically, it doesn't seem to be calculated statically, there's obviously other variables that are affecting it to which im unaware. can anyone shed some life on just how this value is calculated? is it possible cap it at a certain value so that it doesn't keep randomly crashing? because its hard to find stable settings when that value keeps changing itself. it doesn't seem to be the same as "Boost clock", which says 1408MHz.

i'd like to cap the est max at 1500 if i can so that the chip doesnt try go above that.

if its not beeping and the internal speaker isnt broken then it is booting you're just not seeing it because you're trying to use HDMI to VGA without a DAC or some dumb shit.

We got off on a tangent. It's unlikely that adding a graphics card would do anything for you. Double check all your connections, and follow the guide >>56390285

That's probably the most we'll be able to help you.

I want a 144hz monitor, few things though

1. Can I even run vidya at 144fps with a 6600k and RX480?

2. Is freesync noticeable or worth it for a 144 monitor?

When I torrent things and choose to only download some of the things, why does my torrent client decide to download all the things anyway?

As an example, I download an anime. The torrent includes all the episodes, openings, endings, commentary etc. But I only want to download the episodes, so I select only the episodes. But then when the download is finished I see all the other files in the folder?
>>
>>56390512
Depends on how well pirated it is. Probably

Probably, the amps state the maximum current the charger can supply. So assuming the charger is compatible (correct plug and voltage), your phone can then charge at the maximum rate that your firmware and battery chemistry will allow.

okay, but it still not explaining why my est max is jumping around and whatnot. like say i have it set to 1264. the boost will say 1403 which is fine. but then the est max will change value, right now it says 1504 but it decides it wants to jump insanely high like to 1600 sometimes, and then the card will try push itself to match the est max value of 1600. it doesnt matter what software i use because it still tries to match the high frequency that i have no way of changing

That's not the point. We weren't saying that specific thing is the case, we were saying that we're not there in your room so we can't see whatever little thing might be connected up wrong. You're pretty much on your own, but if it worked before you should be able to make it work again, assuming you haven't damaged anything electrically. If all else fails, take apart literally everything in and around the computer and put it all back together(you can leave your cpu and psu alone).

I had this happen on Centurylink. The moment it happens, call Centurylink and have them run tests. Sometimes you have to hound them several times in order to get them to send a tech out to inspect the lines.

Peerblock is absolutely useless and should never be trusted. There are numerous articles that are just a Google away that explain why.
