I'm curious to know if something from this year can. It'll help me tremendously to know how obsolete my tablet is if you can load up stream and how fast they appear on your device.

This is my LG G4. It's a large phone and feels good in the hand. Screen is sharp and bright. Use it for browsing memes and watching films. Battery life sucks. LG UX is not my taste. Need custom ROM to take full advantage of all its abilities, like multi-window for all apps (not just native ones). Great memory management.

UX is the most barebones Android skin after Motorola's, ya kidding me? Bought a cheap midrange LG, and I was fucking shocked at the lack of bloatware and custom features. The redmi pro with the x25 doesn't look bad but how are the chances to get cm on a mediatek processor?

I switched from the S7 to the HTC 10 and wholly crap is it faster. Games run better, battery life is better in my experience, multitasking, almost everything.
I even had the V10 for a bit and even though it had 4 gbs of ram if I had a game open in the background the damn keyboard would stutter .
At the end of the day not all 4 GB phones are the same.

Made a bad choice and got a Note 5 last summer on a payment plan. Had the option to upgrade early after 12 payments, so I took that and ordered some shitty sub 100 dollar LG to get out of it. Figure I'll just return the LG if I can or sell it on Swappa if I can't.

Using my old S4 now which still does everything I want. I don't know why the hell I spent so much on a phone when I certainly didn't need to. It's also refreshing to use a smaller device again.

I like the oneplus3 for its 6gb of ram and good battery life but absolutely hate how there is no option for storage expansion.

I've never owned a screen larger than a 1080p resolution so I don't know how a 1440p looks on 1080p video. I also don't like how the phone looks like (ugly edges). It has a microsd expansion slot which I really like.

So what's the choice, /g/? I'm looking to use my phone mainly for videos, reading books and browsing.

There is very, very little user scenarios in which any smartphone is going to bend like in most bend test videos. If that happens from just being in your pockets then you need some goddamn bigger size pants.

Axon 7 has better hardware but very inferior software, the OnePlus 3 is the more balanced choice if you take the software into consideration.

1080p video looks fine on a 1440p display, especially one that small, on larger displays you'd notice the upscaling artifacts but it's impossible to notice it on a phone.

If you store a lot of high quality videos (which are large in size) the Axon 7 might be the one for you due to its microSD slot.

I just can't stomach its software, I really like stock Android-like phones, so I typically use Motorolas, Nexii and OnePlus phones.

I've had a 5S for two years with no protection. The sides have some scuffs from drops by the front and back don't have any noticeable issues. I never used protection because I knew I'd get rid of this thing when I could.

OP here. Like I said, I haven't noticed any real word performance issues. At least not in the way I use my phone. For me it seems crazy fast. I like the stylus, it works well for how I use my phone in my job, and I never have more than a couple apps open at any given time, and I don't play any games on my phone.

I miss a lot of the customization options from Cyanogenmod that I got used to in my Moto X, and I know it's unlikely they will ever get this phone unlocked (although I'm sure they'll root it at some point, if it hasn't been already)
