It was advertised as new but came open. Though its like a 10 year old HD form MAXTOR and is IDE so I assume its just new but open box or part of a bulk stock they have.

Anyone ever had issues with a debug.txt file? Every time I open a file from my computer in Chrome, a debug.txt file is created in whatever folder the file was in. The file opens just fine and there's no issues, the debug.txt just gets created and It always has this text:

Alright, so my friend is building a desktop and he didn't buy windows with it, so we're trying to figure out what his best option is before pirating it.

As of now, he's got a desktop with windows 7 on it, but he plans to give this desktop to his parents so that key can't be used on the new computer.

We were wondering if it would be possible to somehow use the free windows 10 update with his 7 key but then install it on a different computer so he can get windows 10 on his new rig and keep 7 on his old one.
Any way to do this or is there another strategy I haven't thought of?

Holy fuck so much misinformation. First of all. the amount of time you've had windows installed on your computer has jack shit to do with anything. You never lose licenses.

If you install windows 7 on a computer, then upgrade to 10, you can go back and forth as much as you want, from a license perspective. You can't take either of those licenses to another computer, unless your 7 was a retail (meaning you paid super full price for it and it wasn't included from buying your pc). If it is a retail, you can move 7 to a new computer provided you delete all copies of windows from the first one. There is no way to have 2 computers running off of the same original license at the same time. And you don't get a key when you upgrade to 10, you get an entitlement. Anything I said for 7 applies to 8 too.

Traditionally you would just download your ethernet/usb drivers from the manufacturer's website to another pc and then copy them over via flashdrive. However since you need the usb drivers first on skylake, you've got a bit of a catch22. Normally I would recommend using the win7 repair command line, but since you've already got ubuntu running just download the drivers there and drop them into your windows desktop. Am a shitty Script Kiddie which always coded some shit that works, but was for real shitty coded. Learned everything by myself, so i skipped some basics and went directly to the javascript react + 234789 'npm i'-modules shitfest.

So I recently built my first PC and decided I wanted to install windows on it. I downloaded a windows 10 iso from my laptop and installed it onto a bootable USB using Rufus. After plugging the USB into my newly built computer the windows 10 installation asked me for a product key. realizing I didn't have one, and that the installation wouldn't let me get any farther without one, I turned off my computer. I think I had messed up the cables when plugging the HDD in.

The mobo had a slot that had Sata written next to it, so naturally I plugged the HDD cable there.

There are also 4 sockets with SE1 and SE2 next to them where I had my SSD.

So I plugged the HDD into one of those slots and I'm getting this now.

Use macrium reflect to clone the disk, then go to system properties and re-asses your system performance. That should do it. But if you want to double check, make sure your ssd is not listed as scheduleable in defragmenter, and check that your partition is alligned to the right sector. Then transferring your user folders to the hdd is a good idea.

Is G-Sync more useful for 4K right? Or is it better for 1440p 144hz? The presumption being that 60fps is being reached on the 1440p monitor while the 4K monitor runs at 30 - 40fps during gaming.

I guess. Upgraded from Windows 7 which was actived by Daz Loader and it worked.

Upgraded from a genuine Windows 7 with the key my PC came with and it worked exactly the same as the cracked one.

I'd suggest cracking 7 with Daz loader and upgrading before the end of the month. KMSpico doesn't seem to work anymore, at least not with 7.

I have a question regarding GPUs as I'm looking at the new GTX 1060;

Are Zotac and Palit any good for the 1060s? I'm looking at their dual fan models as they are well priced.

Is it really a bad thing to use any vocal assistant if privacy matters?
If not, which one? I never really found any decent one on Android by the way besides the Google one, but I didn't really tried new ones fro a while.

Tox, Jitsi, ChatSecure, BitMessage, etc. All are open source which is required for these type of things. I'd say Tox is a solid alternative.

I don't know much about Signal. In order for these applications to work, both parties have to have a mutual understanding of the fact they want privacy and encryption. If both sides don't use it, it doesn't work.

From what I know, and I may be wrong, it's only for Turbo users due to an issue with advertisements and HTML5. Furthermore, it's in beta and only the controls are in HTML5. The rest is Flash.

Something along those lines. Basically, Twitch is FAR from HTML5 right now.

well shit. I just finished installing windows 10 using an Iso and mounting it to a usb using rufus. is there any way I can uninstall windows from my pc so i can start over but use windows 7?

You can clean install and use one of the wonky windows 10 cracks, or you can upgrade from a daz copy and hope that you get a permanent legit 10 license. If you do, then you can just wipe your system and clean install 10

zotac screwed me, so I'd never buy any of their cards again. palit seems like the cheap chinese brand.
I'd go for gigabyte asus evga or msi.
