Sometimes my keyboard keys will act like they're jammed, as if I were pressing them. Physically, they're normal, but when I'm playing games, they act like they're being pressed.

As you can see the jns instruction jumps to address 0x401171. That address however is the last byte of the instruction at 0x40116f. What will happen during execution? Will it be skipped (or executed as a nop instruction) or is there an instruction encoded as part of some fancy optimization?
I highly doubt there is an instruction there, but jumping to a byte too early just seem wrong to me. This happens multiple times throughout the executable sometimes it's one byte other times two or three bytes early.

Also i assume that the disassembler didn't know the following instruction and i have to replace it manually?

VLC supposedly has metadata-editing features, right?

If I open a file and change some of them, a "save metadata" button will appear and the metadata will be saved when I close the window (as shown by the new title displayed as the file title), but when I close VLC and reopen it, the file still has the old metadata.

Does VLC only change the metadata for that specific session, or it should change it on the file itself (and somehow it's not working for me)?

Alternatively, is there a decent freeware program for Windows that allows me to do this?

So I recently broke my desk top environment on my laptop. I tried to install LXQT on my Netrunner Ubuntu distribution using the following commands [ sudoaptinstalllxqtlubuntu-artworksddm-theme-lubuntu-chooserxserver-xorg-input-allxserver-xorg-video-allxserver-xorg-video-intel ] after I rebooted my device i was met by a black screen with a cursor. I can right click to access terminal emulator and a web browser. >How do I switch back to KDE?
I can't connect to any network be it wired or wireless, I am not sure why.

I think all the arguments in choosing an os either point to windows 7 or 10; 8.1 is an odd choice. If you're set on 8 either look around for and official torrent and validate via msdn or find another pc to try downloading your copy on.

You can't use Skylake specific features under other OS, it's locked to 10. Also DirectX12. 7 also has a relatively fucking terrible Task Manager. Honestly I don't understand why do people even praise 7 so much when 8.1 is literally better in ever way (except Metro apps, which are optional anyway). And 10 is even better than 8.1 (except you have to be tech-literate to disable all the telemetry and shit)
And 7 cannot even be installed via USB 3.0 or 3.1. It also has way worse support for SSDs.

Traffic Shaping with tc (traffic control) from linux.

While I can Shape outgoing traffic, I cannot shape incoming traffic. By shaping i mean "limiting bandwidth".

I found out, that you cannot shape the traffic when its already arrived on the interface. But why you cant hold them back and release it with the wanted data rate?

I also read, that you can "just drop tcp" packets. The congestion algorithm of TCP would make the Sender to slow down the sending rate.

BUT couldnt I just delay the incomming traffic, which would lead to that my ACK packets would send later, what would let the sender think "CONGESTION, I NEED TO SLOW DOWN".

Why would you like to use powerful PC for a purpose like this? My server is build on shitty passive cooled desktop. If you use Linux without X server for it it will consume like 300MB of ram fileserver doesn't need that much ram..

Tcp doesn't reason in terms of lateness if it's not late enough to cause a timeout, you would end up having a hiccup bandwith due to timeout algorithms.
Not sending an ack would mean the resize of the congestion window, if you do something that's the equivalent of:

I'd still advise you to get one for your build since CDs aren't 100% phased out and you might need to read one once in a while.

Generally it will detect whatever is being pressed. It may not work with some "special keys", but it did in my case

Got storage covered. I actually got the a psu from a friend who ordered it by accident. It was cheap and new. Same with the 1070.

But about my heatsink question. Any advice? I don't want to use my old one. It's a 212 but it's several years old.

Is there a "default" release of android I can flash onto any android device?
I have a p shitty prepaid phone, and I'd like to be able to have the most recent release of android, which is 6.0 as far as I know

I'm trying to remove malware from my second PC, and I accidentally deleted the entire "regid.1991-06.com.microsoft" folder. Once I realized it contained a swidtag, I tried to restart the computer in the hopes that the system would replace it. It booted to a black screen, so I got the same file from my current laptop on a USB key and replaced the folder on the other computer.

My question is: if I restart, is that going to permanently fuck up the infected computer? I'm too scared to reboot now, because I finally got it to load properly and I don't want to risk it not loading again.

Is the swidtag unique to each device or is it the ID tag of all Windows products?

ok so basically i have a script that i made in visual studio (compiled to a .exe) but it sometimes crashes and at this point it doesnt really matter because it needs to "reset" anyway" so im not going to bother fixing it

but i need it to restart everytime it crashes. is there a way to do that easily in windows? like a program that i can just point to the .exe and tell it to reopen it every few hours (which will autoclose the current session because they both use the same ssh)

It doesn't actually say how to obfuscate/hide IP. It says to get a VPN, and the VPN page just says "lol get a VPN." I have no intentions of nefarious activity, I simply don't want posts here tied to legit IP. I have a g-botnet email with real info that I use on a separate browser, but I imagine it still is tied to this place to some extent due to captcha.

How do I proxy? Alternatively, do free VPNs that aren't botnets even exist?

So I couldn't find a tutorial online to make a colorscheme yet, but what do I need to change to make the selected row not display an underline for the whole thing but just change the color like some other colorschemes have?

I kinda liked this colorscheme, but the underline of it is a little distracting.
