Are android partitions hard coded in the ROM?

I just bought one of those chink tablets with windows 10 + android, the android partition is only 12GB of 32.

I buy lots of lower price electronic components from China, but I didn't buy any consumer electronic stuff so far. At Banggood and Gearbest, they have cheap "Teclast" tablets, but these don't seem to have good custom ROM support. Otherwise the specs of the Teclast P80h would be fine for the price. I don't need a SIM card in the tablet, I can tether from the Smartphone. It should have GPS however.

Got a ESP8266 board with integrated USB <-> UART chip today. It's very handy because it doesn't require the cable and stuff you see on the right side with the ESP01 and it doesn't need to be soldered somewhere like the ESP12 to get access to all the pins.

You're not understanding - I can't flash anything because the bootloader is locked, and the process to unlock the bootloader isn't working (I have bootloader unlock premissions)

I managed to flash the chiniese rom now using adb reboot edl and the XiaoMiFlash(beta) program (windows VM I had on hand was 32bit)

Took 945 seconds ~15minutes (so to anyone else doing this don't be alarmed if it takes fucking forever and you're afraid you're phone is bricked...)

I would suspect they are wrong. See how the top of it is slightly different diameter than the rest? that's typically an indication of there being a protection circuit board on the top. It's not foolproof though and it's more likely that flat batteries like that would be unprotected as they're intended to be built into battery packs with protection. Most "button top" batteries are protected but there are exceptions both ways. Those NCRs might be fine and using a protected battery in a protected charger isn't a problem persay it's just kinda a waste. I will say if those Samsungs are authentic they are good cells though and I'd probably go for those. Also even at 2500mAh you're still looking at a 10,000mAh power bank which is enough to charge most phones several times over. Also keep in mind the more capacity the longer it takes to charge back up. You don't get a free lunch.

I did a lot of reading on li-ion rechargeable cells a while back. Not sure if it's still relevant but:

"protection" is an added circuit on the battery that prevents it from over/under discharging. This changes the dimensions of the battery, and can be different depending who puts it on. As another anon said, you may not need this if you are putting the cells into a circuit that has these functions built in.

There are LOADS of fake cells out there, do a little extra research to make sure you get what you pay for.

Back then Panasonic made the best cells. I think they still do (I'm sure the samsung ones are just as good though, I think LG is the other supplier). There are only 2-3 good suppliers of the cells, everything else you see is rebranded. The power you can get goes up to 3300 mAh. You pay a premium for this anything that seems to good to be true probably is.

The ones you linked have plenty of reviews so I'm sure they're fine, but see if you can find someone testing them properly for capacity and output voltages.

If you're flying it normally and not into a huge wind then you should get 4-5 minutes. Check that all the props are spinning freely. If they're ok then you've most likely got a shit battery, but you can get 5 for about $8 so it's not really worth crying to Gearbest about.

I have a T3 controller bluetooth controller that I bought from Amazon. I'm trying to use it for PC gaming to no avail. It has 4 different emulation if I hold x,y a or b and the home button. I did the LCD polarisation test with $10 mall sunglasses I have and they failed. I didn't think they'd pass because when the sunlight hit them they'd just cloud up and didn't make it any easier to see.

I have a CPL filter for my camera for reference, basically just hold the sunglasses up to the lcd and rotate them and if the tint gets darker and lighter as you rotate then they're supposed to be polarised.

It'll be interesting to see if these pass the test

Received my Superlux 668B headphones today.
They're fuckin great for 26 USD [flash sale atm]

Here is my long winded first impression:


Soundstage is pretty damn great, not exceptional, since they're only semi-open, but still far better than I expected.

Sound quality is clear, not too veiled, but not piercingly so.

The bass is adequate, though for those with heavier tastes you might need to EQ them a bit.

Some anons reported that the highs were a bit much, but I haven't found them to be so far.

The headphones are quite light, so I doubt your neck would get sore after extensive use.

The clamping force is moderate, if you have a fat head you may need to bend the head 'band' wire things to make it less claping.

The weird head flappy wing things are alright. They take significant force to retract and detract though, just watch out for that. Theyre not noticable when wearing though.

The build quality is adequate for the price. The head 'band' is plastic, along with most of the headphones, so no metals unfortunately. A great thing is that the cable is removable. They hang the connector out of the headphones so you won't end up ripping it to bits if you ever drop them and the cable is caught on something. It's a common death of headphones in my experiences.

Aesthetically, theyre not too bad. I don't particularly like the way the openings are made out of circles. They'd look nicer if it was just mesh, or a grill.

I've currently got some velour pads in the mail atm, the stock ones aren't bad, but they can definitely be improved.


That said, I've had people tell me that the Superlux H662 EVOs are actually better when modified. Read up on them. I probably won't ever buy them to compare, but just take that into account.


Gonna see if burning them in does any good. Will post after if there is any significant difference.

Filters are OK and there is plenty of them. I've bought couple extra, so everything doesn't fit into invidual pockets.

Most if the colour filters are extremely vibrant, except coffee/sunset ones.

There are total 8 full coloured, 8 graduated and full ND-2 to 16, graduated ND-2 to 8.

The pouches are nice quality.
