Yeah, the "zooming" function is really hokey. I own 6 Ultrafires that all do exactly that, although the light is pretty neutral white.

It's a gimmick they do to give the light flood and throw capabilities without having to manufacture a proper reflector for them (the reflector is the thing that costs the most money out of any single part on the flashlight). It does flood really well and it kind of sort of does throw by forcing the light down to a very narrow cone so you can see the LED itself.

The Creelight that fucked itself after like 5 minutes of use that I had was a VERY cold light, with a blue tint. All of my other Creelights are only very lightly cool white or even neutral white.

14500s won't take it to its advertised brightness (because it's a lie) but they'll crank it up pretty bright. I wouldn't use 14500s for very long though, same with 10440s in AAA-cell lights. They tend to heat the fuck out of the light, shorten the life of the LED, and cause damage to the torch itself, due to how powerful they are.

Both plugged into the same 48v phantom power and in the same position. I can't really tell a huge difference myself, but I'll record some stuff in Audacity and see what it looks like.

In late april i ordered some nixie tubes from the ukrane (am i spelling that right?) and wasnt home to pick them up so they went to the post office. Considering some other tube i bought took like 5 weeks to show up from china, i figured they were still in transit.
They ended up getting shipped back before i even realized they had been at the post office the entire time.

Recently, I've bought my first Chinkphone, and I gotta say, it's not too bad.

So after much researching and /csg/, I managed to find something decent, for my budget of £80 - The Kingzone N5.

Pros:

>Still Camera isn't completely shit

>Doesn't look too cheap (imo)
>LTE (I'm a UKfag so it works out fine in terms of bands)

>Expandable Memory up to 64GB

Cons:

>Battery life is questionable, although this may be due to rooting?

Bought it at a risk, as I've seen videos online where's the screen comes shipped with issues, thankfully mine did okay.

I finally got my Redmeme note 3 pro delivered to replace my dear OnePlus One whose screen I accidentally broke in a embarrassing way. If you're wondering why the picture looks like absolute shit it's because I took it with my backup Moto E.

For anyone whose also on MetroPCS, 4g LTE works fine on it (which also mean it works fine on T-mobile/At&t/their MVNOs)! Just make sure to call first so MetroPCS can register your new phone's IMEI to your sim, toggle prefer 3g and then prefer LTE in network settings, and put in the APN for metro PCS.

My network kept disconnecting and reconnecting for some reason before I toggled between 3g and lte.
