S7 Edgy, Xperia Z5 or better yet wait to get that S7 Active. Since you said heavy drinking all these phones are waterproof, but the Active is better since it can survive some smashes and hits.

S7 isn't a bad choice but the battery life is a lot less than the Edge.

Had windows phone for 2 years.
Only issue was no snapchat for nudes-getting

Switch to iPhone for a month, screen shattered cause I dropped it off my couch onto my carpet.

Been with android for a year, phone is slowest phone I've ever had and batter dies 5-6 hours before bedtime regardless of how much I use it and app load time are retardedly slow.

Gonna miss snapchat but I'm going back to Windows phone because they are all around better than the competition in every way except for a couple of the apps.

So I just got myself a new HTC 10 because my m7 kicked the bucket. After putting my music on it there's only 2 GB storage left so I salvaged an SD card from an older phone and prepared to pop it in and format it as internal storage.

Now, if I do that and fill that up aswell and decide to upgrade to a larger SD card later on, how will I be able to move the files from the old SD card to the new one? Can I un-format it, move them to my computer, replace the SD card, then move them back from the computer and finally format it as internat storage again?

I'd just get a 200 GB card right away, but by the time I'd actually need the space they will only cost half what they do now.

What's the cheapest option for a replacement smart phone on T-Mobile? Can I just get a prepaid phone and plug a post paid sim into it.

I personally use a Note 4, but one of the people on my plan is a tard and broke his phone. I don't want to spend very much getting him a replacement that will probably end up broken again in 6 months anyway.

>>55344709
You're right, it's 4GB worldwide. 3GB is enough tho

>>55344743
Europe: 800 / 1800 / 2600MHz
NA: 700 / 800 / 1700 / 1800 / 1900MHz

(900 and 2100MHz are 3G only)
Some providers use all, some only one or two.

The Mi5 supports 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz.

So Europe one band, and NA two. It isn't perfect, but the 1800 band is the most reliable.

From what I tried it's pretty average, nowhere near as good as the previous HTC flagships. They're nice and loud up to 70%, above sounds like shit without getting louder. It also lacks a music player, which is kinda sad because the normal stock HTC music player is detected as "riskware", but whatever. AirPlay is quite nice to have.

My headphones are some cheap 10 bucks in-ears, the stock ones are still in the box. I don't listen to music much when on the move, the stereo in my car and at home are a lot better.

>>
>>55345055
A 720p display on 5.5" screen is almost 300 PPI. Unless you look at your phone 1mm away you won't be able to count pixels.

That's not the point though, this is a budget phone. It's not meant to have the best specs/displays just best value for that year.

Don't worry though by ~2020 we'll probably see 1440p display, 4GB RAM phones for under $100. Aplel will probably still be using 640p displays lmao.

>>
>>55345245
They're both using 4G LTE-Advanced.

4G-LTEA EU: 800/1800/2600 MHz
4G-LTEA NA: 700/800/1700/1800/1900 MHz

3G-LTE EU/NA: 800/900/1800/1900/2100/2600 MHz

If there is no 4G connection, it will fall back to 3.9G-LTE on the 900MHz band. This usually happens whenever they are on the outskirts of the city, in crowded buildings or away from the cities.

For now. The main reason why so much RAM is needed is because of bloated web pages and apps with a fuckload of apps. You can probably get by with 1GB RAM on android if you're 1337 but 2GB of RAM is a safe bet and leaves breathing room FOR NOW.

We'll probably have to have at least 4GB of RAM on our phones by 2020 for phones not to lag though. Though by then 4GB RAM Android phones will probably be less than $100 a piece.

Hahaha, my friend. In the same situation since I often need to go to rural areas and VZW has the best coverage there. There are a couple of phones you can unlock, or at least root on VZW, but not too many these days. Moto X Pure might be the best bet if you need a CDMA viable phone that has some freedom. If so, yeah, you need AT&T to get Marshmallow.
It's not a bad phone, but it is Blackberry's first attempt at Android, so there will likely be a snag here and there. Battery life and heat improved a lot with Marshmallow, which is why I'm recommending you to go AT&T. Their version also has wireless charging (QI), if you're interested in that.

will the ZenFone 3 have unlockable bootloader / good community ROM support because I don't trust ASUS to release updates at all...
>>
>>55348057
Yeah just don't expect too much.
>>
>>55347352
Didn't know about that. I picked virgin cause it had a cheap plan that fit with my needs at the time. I might get that phone and switch to boost. Any other good ones?
>>
>>55345628
Thank you. OnePlus 3 it is then.

Brother bought one and a chance to mess with it. Screen is not as bad as people say. Still pissed about 64gb only but fuck it.

What's the best android music player to use? I'd want one that is sleek and does the job well. Maybe customizable (wanna try that rice stuff)
>>
>>55348283
I can tentatively recommend Rocket Player as a good choice. Decent customization as far as I care, but I'm not much of a ricer, so your mileage may vary.
>>
>>55348278
S4 is old as shit and barely usable. no one should waste money on this POS.

Shuttle or Rocket player.

This is a budget phone you dumbass. Of course it won't have the latest 911 snapdragon pocketfire and 12GB of RAM. But at least compared to a moto g this is a much much better choice especially since you can swap batteries and use a bigger zerolemon one.

No it's not you fucking bellend. any ~$80 chinkshit will be better then this rotting piece of crap you mongoloid fucktard.

>OP3 has an accurate display since sRGB update
>has AOSPA+CAF ROM
>has ElementalX kernel

Fugg, this phone is looking actually pretty decent now. I'm tempted to get it lads, but it feels kinda bad to upgrade from my OPO only 9 months after I bought it...

Should I wait for Sailfish/Marlin or just get OP3 now?

Not even once. At least go for the slightly more reputable chinkshits like Wah Wee/Xiaomeme.

ZTE is actually a very reliable chink brand in my experience. I owned the ZTE Blade, ZTE AWE, and now own the ZTE Warp Elite. All phones have been very good to me and never failed.

That being said I think ZTE is better suited for the budget range, their previous flagships have never gotten much attention and have had overheating and battery problems.

Once tried a xiaomi phone once and it literally shit itself a few days later with constant crashes and eventually would not boot. Stay away from xiaomi at all costs, now sure about that other chink brand you mentioned.

is there an android version of face time?

Kill yourself.

>>55348741
I bought a cheap zte phone for my mum (300 kangaroos = 5.5" 1080p) and it's alright, display is surprisingly decent and looks nicer than my OPO (not sure about color accuracy but contrast ratio is definitely higher).

However it's stuck on 5.1 and I doubt it will ever get updated. It has a mediashit processor which is even worse.

Screen is almost guaranteed to develop dead zones. Repair costs more than the phone itself.

If not for this issue it would be great for the price. Get a GS4 instead, SD + removable battery, similar specs.

Just upgraded to an HTC 10 from my Galaxy S6 with a failing battery. Did I make a mistake?

The subsidized Amazon Moto G4 if you want a cheap phone with newer specs and latest android.

This phone is vastly inferior to the Boost S4, costs more, has a shitty non-super amoled display, permanent glued-on 3,000 mAh battery, and shitty single-thread performance. Would not recommend to anyone.

best qwerty phones? currently using nokia n900. Was going to wait for neo 900 but let's be real that isn't happening any time soon.

Is a HTC 10 a good phone? Looking to upgrade soon from a Nexus 6

>>55349166
Very. Expect 0 privacy, virtually 100% guarantee you will never be able to root it or unlock the bootloader.
>>
>>55349239
Man that sucks. not worth it then, G4 sucks big time anyway.

>>55349060
You could have done far worse. 10's only real issue is cost.

any hope BB's "midrange" 2016 phones will have competitive midrange prices or is that just a pipedream like them ever coming back from irrellavence?

I acquired an iPad mini 2 and it's pretty good. there's a lot of bloat ware, and it was probably faster on iOS 8 (it was already updated when I got it) but I've been impressed. I hated it at first, but now that I've settled in it's really cozy. Safari is great (my eyes popped out of head when I saw that it had extension support) and all the apps use the screen much better than most android tablet apps. The stock keyboard is very nice, too. I love being able to split it. I also like the blue light filter. Finally, I love how you can swipe from the right edge to have another app on top. This has served as a great replacement for the Google shortcut that I miss from my nexus 7. Finally, the measly 1gig of ram turned out to be a nonissue. apps have to reload, but they always seem to magically remember exactly where I was.

What I don't like is how fucking useless Siri is. The damn thing never understands what I say and never does what I ask. not once could I get the piece of shit to work. Google's assistant is so much better. I also don't like how there is no 4chan app. I'll probably jailbreak for this if I can, since I do not plan on updating this thing. It's already sluggish and buggy enough. I've had it for two days and I've already had three instances of apps freezing up and crashing. I also see some weirdness in a lot of the animations. Some animations in the email app seem half baked, and the multitasking animations get laggy quite often. My nexus 7 had more polish than this. Funny how the one thing that I expected to be good on an iPad (silky smooth, polished experience, just works, etc) ended up being one of the few things that my lagdroid tablet goes better!

All in all, I would definitely recommend it if you can get it for cheap, like me. It's been, what, two years since it came out? It still works pretty well.
