How the fuck do I figure out how to fix my PC?

Yesterday it randomly started BSODing with "system service exception" roughly ~30-60sec after logging in (would be fine for indeterminate amount of time if I sat on the login screen). I googled that, fucked around with some settings in safe mode, and now it's gone.

Except now I can't load any games. When I try to start up any game it either won't start up at all, instantly crashes, or freezes on a black screen. I have no idea what's causing this, and therefore no idea how to fix it? How do I narrow in on the cause of this problem so that I may try and fix it myself?

Most cases seem to be designed for front to back airflow, are there any issues with back to front airflow?

What is the best / easiest way to setup vpn + voip so I can call people from my phones contact list and it will automatically connect to my server at my home and have it direct the call to the person I selected?

Is the fact that I can't rename/delete files in the open/save dialog an issue with gnome or nautilus?

I'm thinking of getting a new mobo
Im between a Gigabyte Ga-h97 Gaming 3 and a Gigabyte Ga-z97-hd3.

They're both pretty similar except Z97 can hold ram up to 2400Mhz (the H97 only up to 1866Mhz)
and the H97 has a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot + PCIe 2.0 x16 (Z97 only has 2 2.0 x16 slots)

Im planning on use this build for gaymen, and i can get both mobos for the same price range, what would give me the best performance?

Hey guys. I have a question here in regards to my rooted Android. Specifically, how do I make my OneDrive (or Google Drive) user writeable? I have documents stored there that I need to be able to edit and save on the go, and I can't seem to make the drive writeable. I've tried changing my entire / folder writeable using FX file explorer, but that doesn't seem to work. Should I just run 'chmod -R 777 /'? Would that work? Is there a better way to do it? Any help would be appreciated.

Good outlines for gaming hardware of laptops:
1. User replaceable/upgrade-able CPU
2. User replaceable/upgrade-able GPU (Some brands make the gpu & vram on a separate chip that attaches to the motherboard. Those models are your best choice here.)
3.Avoid Dell (Alien Ware + Razor included), Lenovo, and some other brand I can't think of right now.
4. User replaceable RAM, HDD.
5. Avoid laptops that have BIOS whitelists on hardware.

Also Dell owns both Alien Ware and Razor (Dell makes shit quality computers, and are often over priced.) Lenovo has a bad track record for inserting back doors into windows. I guess this means you use the app. Then you are probably not able to do that. If a simple solution is ok then use ES File Explorer and add it as a cloud drive. When I turn on my pc nothing shows any sign of life. The pc is on, the fan is on, the case is displaying lights as if it was on, but nothing on the monitor, nothing on the mouse, nothing on the keyboard or any other peripheral.

I just let it rest there for up to 30 min sometimes and then it decides to actually turn on. The monitor shows up and it goes from the start, as if I just pushed the button and not 30 minutes ago.

I'm watching Stargate, and since it's a fuckload of episodes I'm speeding up the framerate to 1.5x (by pressing +) whenever it's a long atmospheric section and slowing it down back to 1x for dialogue and important ones.

However, the audio and video skip just enough every time I switch it for it to be annoying. Is there any settings or programs I should be using for this not to happen? I'm using VLC at the moment just because it has accessible framerate options, but I can switch to mpc if necessary.

It's been a while, Bing is blocked on my Windows 10 computer. I get ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED from any browser when trying accessing the service. And so the windows search won't connect to Bing neither. I don't really use bing for anything, but sometimes i like to just type my query in he search bar and get an answer from microsoft search engine. Maybe it's a debloating windows 10 script I ran. I didn't find any firewall rule blocking Bing.

Audio glitching randomly around every half hour; either playing the same sound sound multiple times in a row or just not playing for half a second. Definitely affects multiple websites and I think it affects offline too.

About every 6 months I like to wipe all the free space on my drives so if I ever accidentally delete something and I need to recover I don't have to wade through all the other shit.

Its a traceroute program, it does them every few seconds and pools them and shows you worst mean best for each hop. If you have a node going to 500ms then thats the node thats having problems and you can also send it to your isp if they need data on which node it is

If I start my computer with a power connector attached to a hard drive, but with the motherboard end of the data cable disconnected and the hard drive end still connected, then can that screw up anything?

What I've got is basically an image stored in a variable (encoded in base64 to preserve it), and I decode it, pipe it into Imagemagick's convert tool to manipulate it, then pipe that into Imagemagick's display to show the image. After that I use the $! special parameter to get the PID of the latest command so I can terminate it later. this is the process:

For some reason, after installing, it got stuck in a reboot loop not letting me access the bios or Live USB. I removed the hard drive, wiped it, then put it back. It let me boot of a live USB (different iso than last one) and I reinstalled Debian. After doing the reboot for the end of the install, it fell into the same problem. I have wiped it and started over 20 times now. I even installed Debian on the HDD before putting it back into the laptop. Please help.

I've got a Lingsfire LS-S2 charger. It says that it can charge 1.2v batteries, I'm assuming NiCd work, but do NiMH?

When I'm watching a youtube video, my GPU temps go up two or three degrees celsius;
but, when I'm on twitch, cytube or any other live streaming site, temps go up 19 degrees or more.

You should learn a lot in the process. As for the building, keep yourself grounded by touching the case periodically, everything should fit in without much force if it's being plugged into the right place. There's labels all over the motherboard but they're kind of hard to read. There's also a manual but you probably won't need it unless you get stuck at some part. Not everything gets plugged in, but you should still try to figure out why things aren't being used if you have extra cables.

What could cause high ping/drops in internet connection speeds? It's unnoticeable while browsing internet etc. but in CSGO my ping jumps from ~30 to 200 during those dips in the pic. I'm using ADSL via ethernet cable and win10. Speedtest looks like pic related and I ran it on two computers so there shouldn't be any program causing it, ping test show no packet loss. Yo /g/, I'm not really a mobile person, so I would appreciate some help. My iPhone just broke (screen cracked and half the touchscreen is unusable). I have a backup Motorola Defy Mini that I am trying to use, but I can't seem to get it (or rather, the Google Play Store) to work. I follow the instructions word for word (factory reset, set up my Google Account, sync it with the phone, accept the terms and agreements, etc), but EVERY time I try to open up the Google Play Store, it says "The Application Google Play Store has stopped unexpectedly". I'm assuming this is a problem with the phone or the OS because it makes absolutely no sense to me. The phone is running Android version 2.3.6 and says it is updated to the newest version (of course there are newer versions of Android, but I imagine that is the newest one my phone supports). It says your vfat is a Dell Utility partition. Make it an EFI System partition instead. Of course if you have Dell Utility stuff in it, make another. Also make sure your partition table is GPT and not MBR.
