I'm setting up a fresh computer - Windows 7 - and need some recommendations for a good, free antivirus/firewall.
I'd been using avast antivirus and comodo firewall until recently. After installing them again, they seem more like bloatware than what I remember.
Do you have any alternative suggestions?

Any /g/ use a playstation 1 as a music player? Most of the music CDs I use work fine, but some (brand new) just can't be playing. As soon as I put the CD in, it start skipping for 5-10 secs and then stop and won't start... Any idea of the problem??

I have a motherboard with what i think is corrosion in it, it's green and it's not battery acid, it was completely dead. I gave it an isopropyl alcohol bath and it started working again perfectly but only for about three hours, now it powers up but doesn't boot. Is there any point in giving it another bath?

Will not turn on or charge, nothing happens when plugged into a charger.
I got this tablet for free from work but it seems to be totally fucked. I've googled the usual fixes (holding power button for 30 seconds and other shit) but nothing so far has worked. I've had it on charge for 3 hours straight now.
Is there any last ditch method I can try to fix it or should I just throw it in the trash?

I recently purchased an engineering sample for Intel XEON e5-2696 from the below link:

I run a lot of Virtual Machines so for the price it was advantageous to upgrade from my 4930k, which is a 6 core, to this 12 core XEON. I do, however, like to play games every now and then so not crazy about losing the clock speed since I know games will not see the extra cores, so thinking of overclocking a bit.
I currently have a custom water-cooling system cooling my CPU, VRMs, and chipset with temps never going higher than 35C on the CPU and case temps stay cooler, even at full system load.
I'm confident I won't have any thermal issues as far as the motherboard and CPU goes, but since the CPU has a locked multiplier I'm stuck with base clock overclocking. I know my RAM is rated for higher clock speeds then it is currently running but I also know that sometimes this can effect the video card as well. What advise can one give the process, would I need to water-cool my GPU as well?

Motherboard: ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition (Intel x79 chipset)
RAM: 48GB GSKILL Ares 2133 MHZ (4x8GB and 4X4GB)
CPU: Currently Intel Core i7 4930k (being upgraded to XEON E5-2696)
Graphics Adapter: Saphire Vapor X Radeon 7970 GHz 6GB
SSD Sata: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
SSD M.2.: Samsung 960 EVO 250GB (Running via PCI-E 4x adapter) "Motherboard would not boot off this drive so left OS on the above SSD and used this for applications and page file.
HDD: 3X Western Digital Caviar Green 5TB drives
Optical Drive: 20X ASUS DVD Burner
Case: Rosewill Blackhawk Super Tower
Power Supply: Corsair RM1000X 1000 watt
Liquid Cooler: Custom - Water blocks are by by EK and Radiator is a dual 120mm by Alphacool, and pump is by Thermaltake, not sure of model #'s.
Operating System: Windows 10 Professional

If I had any to spare, I'd be pulling down max quality YouTube vids all the time. I know lots of people who go for long periods without adequate connections (if any at all) to stream even 144p. There are lots of ways to get at music/TV/movies but there's lots on YouTube which people like to keep up with that isn't really available elsewhere.

Can anyone help with the issue in the attached? No videos play either and the comments don't load on any ign site, I tried chrome and its the same on that as well, I've updated java, flash player, disabled adblock, tried private mode, cleared the cache etc but nothing works. I've the exact same extensions enabled on my surface tablet and it works fine on that. any ideas?? not sure what the torn paper icons mean?

Basically one of my friends opened up a tab on my ipod touch, went on to a pornsite and then pressed the home button, so the next time I opened up safari it would be porn. Hilarious, but I opened it at work on the work network. I didn't navigate to any other site and the page seemed to be already loaded, so will it show up on the work network history? I'm thinking no as loaded sites don't really use bandwidth but I really don't know enough to decide whether this is really bad or not.
