Now that based AMD has blown Intel out of business, how long before they Nvidia? I'm guessing 2018.
>>59048391
That'S not going to be hard. Ignoring the much higher RD budget and revenue it has, Nvidia has strong brand loyalty, they have been working on it a lot. Also vendor lockin with GF Experience and such shit. Basically they have been trying to become an Apple and they succeeded.
People will buy they stuff at big premiums which will prevent any competition from making profits, like it happens in the smartphone market.

>That'S not going to be hard
Eh, and I meant "that is going to be hard". Like, really hard. Fuck posting in the morning.
Which one is better for blocking ads? Adaway or dns66?
>>59048184
My phone's not rooted so I've been using DNS66.
It's bretty gud I guess.
Adaway. DNS66 if you're not rooted.
AdAway since it doesn't need to be running all the time, you also can't use a VPN with DNS66 since it works by using a local VPN connection. Only benefit of DNS66 over AdAway is that you can whitelist individual apps.
I need help modifying a firefox app. I have a Suicide Girls account and am using a firefox app called "Suicide Girls Downloader " which obviously lets me download the photosets. There is an issue with the app where certain sets won't download. Somebody on the review page of the app figured out how to solve the issue. Here is the quote...
"Figured out how to modify my local addon code. Got it working. This code snippet from downloader.js solved it for me
I added a simple regex replace on albumName, and then used my 'replaced' string.const images = this.parseResponse(responseAlbum),"
albumName = responseAlbum.name;
albumName2 = albumName.replace(/([^a-z0-9]+)/gi, '-');
let i = 1;
for (image of images) {
this.startDownload(image, "Suicide Girls - " + matches[3] + " - " + albumName2, i + ".jpg");
i++;
}
I don't know what any of this means. Can anyone explain exactly what I'm supposed to do to apply this fix?
>I have a Suicide Girls account
>download the photosets

maybe its a sign to stop storing porn (in still format like magazines back in the 70s) locally
everyone is into streamed, from the cloud, vr porn. get with the freaking program
>>59048388
I like to own and build up a collection. It's something I do with all of my digital media. Whether it be games, music, movies, porn, etc. I store everything. I simply like to have a reliable physical collection stored on my drives.
The request is still there if you know how to do what I'm asking and are willing to help.
Anyone hear or read about a problem with webpages not loading even when you know you are have a internet connection, they just keep trying to load, no 404 or "no internet connection"?
I think it is probably related to either Avast, or windows defender, if one of the new updates of it is fucking with things.
Writing this all up on an old XP laptop, which of course is fine.
>>59047580
As an aside, I noticed this happen last night. But just assumed my internet was down. I turned off the computer and went to bed instead of investigating.
I disabled windows defender and restarted. seems fine now.
curious if anyone else experienced this.
Yesterday I updated Avast and ran some quick scans since I never do this
Decided to run Windows Defender too after, why not
Nothing came up on either, but I think I may have turned WD on when it didnt need to be
Probably just the two conflincting with each other. But I dont know why it affected the browser at night rather than when I first did it, since I ran them during the day/morning and it stopped working closer to midnight.

Best way to combine a bunch of images into a nice grid image? I've got a heap of images (square but different sizes) that I want to put into a wallpaper like pic (but with less greenday). I have photoshop, but if there's an easier way, let's hear it.

Gimp align tool
So, there is a question I have. You guys are not tech support, of course.
I have an issue with friend's laptop, spend alot of time searching for causes, tried many things.
Issue: Keyboard typing rubbish symbols or getting stuck on one letter.
Model: Toshiba Setellite C55-A
I've reinstalled windows -no help, tried external keyboard - keys also type with problems,
checking keyboard and language did not help as well.
I am sorry for abusing you, but google doesnt seem to show anything.
>>59047009
Try a different OS like Linux. You don't have to install it, you can try it without installing it (live ISO)
Check if the keyboard is working. If yes install Linux and get rid of windows. Otherwise your shit is broken and take it to the servicing. If you do not have a warranty sell the laptop.
Thank you for asking nicely.
>>59047009
Give it back, Jamal.
Well, I am trying to fix it for that friend, not keeping it... Please don't involve linux
>falling for lightweight DE/tiling WM meme
Why save up 100MB using lightweight DE when you programs will use anyway few GB of memory
pic related
>tfw never use over 1.5GB except for compiling shit under tmpfs
I have to admit, while I usually prefer the looks of a more traditional DE, i3 has been phenomenal to use and that's why it's my number one choice of linux xorg WM/DE. All gui applications work perfectly (in some rare cases if it doesn't work at first, it will when I float the window or toggle fullscreen), multi monitor support is seamless, it's highly configurable and relatively lightweight, it's very good for battery life (compare to Unity or GNOME, ffs), and just apart from the slight hassle of setting up and learning to use, I haven't had any practical issues with it unlike every other Linux desktop/wm. Other de/wm always have shown their bugs and shortcomings but not i3.

What can I do with a Roku? Can I root it, and if it's possible, what can I do afterwards?
>picked up my sister's Roku 1 (2710X) after she got a smart TV
They're basically worthless. The problem is that you can just run Kodi on an old laptop and play literally any codec. With roku you have limited codec support and it's just a slow, limited shitpile in general. Rokus and similar products are just a way for companies to sell low-end smartphones with no screens to dumb consumers.
>>59045546
Plug it into your TV, enjoy the convenience it offers for what it does and try not to obsess over it not playing your taiwanese mkv animus.
Also look up roku private channels.
MDR-1000X: sound quality, design, touch controls, Sony-exclusive LDAC bluetooth codecs
QC35: better noise cancelling, more comfortable to wear since cups are deeper, slightly cheaper
