well, for me, i'm actually pretty fat, i'm working on it now but i wasn't in high school, so i was probably around 250 at that time. i've never done anything that would train upper body strength and i've never needed to. i spent (and i still do desu) 95% of my waking time sitting in front of a computer.

No. You don't count the calories burned from a workout if you want to lose some serious weight.
70lbs is quite a bit and it sounds like you're a grill, so you don't get the benefits of raising your tdee by building muscle.

Cardio burns quite a bit if you do it right, but that doesn't give you the excuse to eat more.

It was murdered by a Frank and Benny's two course meal, for starter a cheese and mushroom bake with a side of ciabatta bread, likely over 1000 calories alone.

It may have lived, but it was then hit by a burger, a huge plate of fries and a small bowl of coleslaw. It is estimated this meal as a whole had probably 3000 calories at least. Anon's diet and gains never stood a chance. He even had a diet pepsi but this was not enough.

If you want to be at a 500kcal deficit then use your actual weight and not BMR, but TDEE at "sedentary" (unless you are really active that is pretty accurate). Counting for you ideal bodyweight just makes your deficit bigger, if that's what you want. Anyway it's just an estimation and ideally after some time you should adjust your calories based on your weight loss rate.

Ive lost 17 punds in the last 1.5 months but its starting to catch up with me. Today I blew out my lower back just deadlifting 335x4. Oops. Gues my lower back hadnt healed from the sledgehammer workouts which burn a lot of fat btw. Ill probably only eat 2000-2200 calories today so its getting impossible to keep up with my workouts. My body doesnt heal fast enough to maintain my workout schedule.

Also try megadosing Taurine, like 5-9 grams per day. Its helps you utilize more protein and it increases glycogen production.

If you're eating 1k, chances are you're losing muscle too and you'll end up being skinny fat. I recommend using a BMR calculator to find your resting cals and eat that while exercising. If you don't lose weight, lower by ~300 cals each week until you do.

I used to work out solely with a bench press with a leg addition and I had expected to be 140 with my perfect bod. But now I just work in fast food as my exercise (plus hiking, walking, etc.). I'd probably do 2 days in a row, 1 break day, then 2 days.

You could easily do it 7 times a week though. It's not like weightlifting, the recovery time for most of those is much quicker.

Agreed. I almost had a burger instead of cooking because I wasn't gonna get home until close to midnight. Didn't though, and cooked up my mince and veggies. I understand to not use it as an excuse, but it's a nice mentality for me that if I want a treat, I need to work for it (treat being a banana, yoghurt, some pineapple, etc)

I ate a pound of cottage cheese every day this week.
